Royal Hotel

Great room, with a view to the sea, with a spacious and luxurious bathroom. Extra large bed in a big room with lots of space and excellent tea & coffee facilities. Breakfast was very varied and excellent quality, served by two lovely ladies. Reception was very helpful and welcoming.

Shame there is no hotel parking or a preferential rate on the adjacent council parking.

The hotel is in an exceptional location, on the beach yet close to the town with all of it's facilities. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable with wonderful views of the beach and pier. Breakfast was excellent, it was served in a charming room and our waitress was very pleasant.

Fab location - right on the beach. Stayed as a family for one night - as early morning golf start for junior. To fill the day we walked the coastal path from Deal to Dover (great walk in lovely weather!) however a storm hit half way and we returned to our car in the car park 5 hours later drenched through to the skin. The lovely manager allowed us to change into dry clothes, despite having checked out hours before. Very friendly and kind staff and a great little hotel for a seaside night away!

Excellent comfort, spacious rooms, courteous and friendly staff, clean. great food wonderful location.

Not a crtitism of the hotel or staff but the building is very old and there is no lift. I struggle with stairs and there are a lot of them but the struggle is worth it. However, not a hotel for people who cannot do stairs at all althogh staff are very willing to assist with carrying luggage etc for you if needed.

I have stayed here before and love the room. I love the proportions and the decor. I especially love the view.

Unfortunately on this occasion the room was very cold and the radiators were only lukewarm at best. Likewise with the water when we ran a bath and shower.
