Comfort Suites French Lick

We went for a 1 night stay after Polar Express. Mainly booked this hotel so kids could swim after but pool heater was out so water was to cold for kids to swim in. Customer service was nice and offered managers card about pool, but didn't bother taking since it would do no good.. Bed mattress sunk in middle in our room, my daughter said their bed was fine.

We picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool and hot tub. Upon arrival we found out both heating elements are not working. This was very disappointing since we have 3 children that were excited to swim. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty. The employees were nice.

It was quiet and much nicer than the French Lick resort.

We had to request a different room. the one we were given first was FULL OF LADY BUGS; after telling the front desk, the clerk apparently knew it was an issue because he made the comment that another room next to it had to be closed off because of this issue. We got moved to a new room. We left and went on our train ride, grabbed food then came back for a quick swim in the pool. After swimming we returned to our and we could not get in. The night clerk made new keys, and it was still not working, so me, my daughter and 3 grandkids were standing Wet and Cold in the front lobby!!!! I was given the card for the manger to call, I was told the person was over 30 minutes away!! They did give us a room on the 3rd floor so that we would not be in the lobby!!! After over and hour and half we finally got into our room. The next day while getting ready for breakfast one of my other family members in another room came to our room and walked straight IN, SO IM GUESSING THEY DISABLED THE DOOR LOCK SO THAT WE COULD NOT GET LOCKED OUT!!!! MY FAMILY STAYED IN A ROOM ALL NIGHT THAT DID NOT LOCK!!! THANKFUL I LOCK THE EXTRA LOCK ON THE DOOR!!!!!!

The front desk man was so helpful and kind . He seemed to working night and day and still kept high level of customer service. Pool was chilly. Doors to side park lot were not lockable /broken. Pool door also was broken . Just some maintenance issues but overall was nice stay . Comfortable beds and nice to have couch . Prices great compared to resort and only 1.5 mile away . They have cards in lobby for rides but resort shuttle won’t accommodate this location.

So the beds were really uncomfortable and we found a dead bedbug on the bed😱 we didn’t see any live ones but still that sketched me out. They have all the tv channels.

Pool door was taped open so that small children could open the door by themselves and have access to the pool, making it a danger of drowning.

Poor front desk help. Noisy. Door hard to close.
