Beautiful property and closeness to good shopping and eating

The grounds are like being in the islands.

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. I would give it a 3 plus. It is a lovely hotel in a residential neighborhood across the street from the ocean. I would describe it as Hemingway meets Cuba. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, very quiet and quaint. All rooms are entered from the outside and once inside I felt like I should be writing a book. Most rooms have a small balcony or patio. The rooms are very clean, comfortable beds and bedding and have a small kitchenette with small refrigerator/freezer, microwave and toaster oven. The grounds are immaculate, pool is fabulous and plenty of outdoor courtyard space to enjoy breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was very good. We also enjoyed the HH and Piano Bar both of which had a speakeasy feel. So why the 3+: the front desk is not manned before 3:00 for check in. They say call this number but no one answers. There is no one there in the mornings for checkout. I literally called 5-7 times with a very simple question, got someone once but asked if they could call back and crickets. Yesterday I called and couldn’t leave a message because the mailbox was full. Hence my dilemma. It would be nice to see a smiling face in the lobby area during the day. 😊

My wife and I had a wonderful time on our first trip to Vero Beach. A beautiful room, a beautiful pool, great staff, palm trees, easy access to the beach and plenty of sunshine…what else can you ask for in Vero? We hope to return soon for another very relaxing vacation

A wonderful getaway. A hidden gem

Lovely boutique hotel on North Hutchinson Island. Very quiet & serene surroundings, perfect for a couples getaway. I’m not sure if I needed to ask? but did not receive any VIP amenities or room upgrade? Still a lovely experience. Property is beautiful with a quick walk to the beach. The staff was very courteous, especially the bartenders at The Shell Room. We did not dine at the breakfast restaurant, as gluten free options were very limited. I will note, though the beach is lovely, there are no facilities, and no lifeguards. As such, we only went ankle deep into the ocean. We noticed the public beach down the way has no lifeguards, either. Not recommended for those with children, in my opinion.
