Archer Hotel Old Town Alexandria

As seasoned travelers my husband and I were quite impressed with The Archer Hotel. The rooms were spacious as well as designed very well. The bath was well lit with ample counter space.The common spaces were well maintained and nicely appointed. The staff was courteous and welcoming. All in all we would highly recommend The Archer Hotel.

This was our first stay in Old Town Alexandria (as opposed to downtown D.C.) and we absolutely loved it! The hotel was only a short walk from the King St-Old Town Metro stop, which was only three stops on the Yellow Line from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). It couldn't have been more convenient. Additionally, after 11am, a free trolley runs down King Street to the wharf with a stop less than a block from the hotel. The hotel itself was lovely and all of the staff, from the greeter at the courtyard entrance to the desk staff to the housekeeping staff, were so friendly and helpful. They were happy to store our luggage when we arrived quite early in the morning. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The shower was equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There were several mirrors including a wall-mounted "make-up" mirror. We had breakfast every morning at HomeGrown, the restaurant adjacent to the hotel. The restaurant staff's motto was "Kind is Cool" and they exemplified that. Our favorite breakfast items were the blueberry pancakes, the sweet potato pancakes and the croissant French toast. King Street is lined with shops and restaurants and a very pleasant walk (about 16 blocks) from the wharf. We took a couple of guided walks that originated at the visitor center which was about a 14-block walk. The courtyard at the hotel looked like a cozy place to gather with family and friends, weather permitting. We enjoyed visiting the nearby George Washington Masonic National Memorial (take a tour!) and the Torpedo Factory (a collection of art studios). I would most definitely stay here again!

This hotel was really cute. It's clean, rooms are spacious, and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast is not included, but there's a cute breakfast place right downstairs that has delicious breakfast and lunch called Homegrown. The restaurant has good food and drinks, but mainly appetizers. There were not many options for meals but the food was good. Try the lavender gin drink-the bartender is amazing. They do have a gym that is actually really spacious and functional. If I may add, it would be wonderful if Netflix was added to the television. The television was just regular channels, so it was difficult to start a movie for example. This is also a convenient location and you can walk to food and things. The parking is $40 per night but to be fair, almost all hotels in this area are pay to park. Overall, my friend and I were happy and will return.

Archer Hotel in Old Town Alexandria is amazing. The staff went out of their way to welcome me as well as took care of any need I had during my stay. I was there on a business trip and all parties were extremely happy with the hotel. A must stay when visiting this area.

Pros … Very comfy bed and good walking location to Old Towne. Cons … For the $300+/night price tag, I really expected more. No flat sheet on the bed, steamy bathroom bc of no fan, no info offered by check-on staff except “here’s your room key” at arrival and had to call to get wifi info and find out if they offered morning coffee, a bar of soap, shampoo, and some bare minimum amenities offered in room. As a basis of comparison, we stayed at another hotel the night before for a family gathering that was half the price. The check-in staff filled us in on everything we needed to know at arrival, there were some nice amenities like makeup remover wipes, rain head shower, goody bag upon arrival. Tip .. it cost us less than $25 for two nights to park on the street rather than pay $40/night hotel parking charge and we literally parked across the street from the hotel entrance.

Localizzazione ottima nella via principale di Alexandria, con ottimi ristoranti, locali e negozi nelle vicinanze e a due passi dalla metro per raggiungere sia DC che gli aeroporti. Personale molto accogliente e disponibile, e camera molto spaziosa, comoda, ben arredata e silenziosa.
