The Cliff Elegance Resort

WE WERE UNFORTUNATE TO STAY AT THIS PLACE FOR 2 DAYS IN FEB 2017. I CAN MAKE A HUGE LIST OF TERRIBLE THINGS OF THIS HOPELESS PLACE THEY CALL "RESORT". CONS: NO ROOM SERVICE AT ALL EXCEPT BREAKFAST. They wont even pick up used up utensils till next morning. Resort restaurant just opens for breakfast up to 10 in the morning. After that you cannot even expect a cup of tea in your room or at resort area. NO WI FI: Wi Fi has very tiny or no strength at all. Didn't start working even after notifying at reception as they looked clueless. OPEN WASH ROOM : Wash room are in open area created by 7 feet high wooden fencing around the room and it has no privacy. Washroom is visible from the roof and emergency stairs of adjacent buildings. MOSQUITOES : Claiming it to be a boutique resort, they lack a huge part in maintenance and whole place is covered by mosquitoes. Inside room and outside washroom combination is foolish enough and then you have to use toilet along with mosquitoes bites. Hotel staff has no help apart from poisonous mosquito spray . SWIMMING POOL AND WATER STREAM : Lack of maintenance can be visible in unclean swimming pool and foul smelling water streams around rooms with spider webs in the uncut plantation around it. LACK OF PRIVACY : Room Walls Are 90% Of Glass Windows And Curtains Provided Are Insufficient To Cover It. There Is At least 2 Inch Gap On Each side of Curtain. AIR CONDITIONER : AC installed was old and noisy NO DIGITAL CABLE : Television only runs 6 to 8 local channels and no digital TV service is installed. NO LOCKER SERVICE AND DOOR LOCK : Door Lock Needs To Be Adjusted Properly (And Yes This is Common With Other Rooms Too) Otherwise It May get Opened By Pulling With Force. No Locker Service At All. WORST PART : Adding to all these horrible experiences the worst part comes when hotel staff refuses to admit that there is something wrong with the accommodation. I WOULD ALSO BLAME "MAKE MY TRIP" AND THEIR LOCAL PARTNER "ITC" IN THAILAND FOR ARRANGING SUCH A TERRIBLE PLACE AND QUOTING IT AS A LUXURY/DECENT STAY. ITC representative was bold and fool enough to defend resort amenities. He even went up to the extent of claiming that most hotel do opens only for breakfast and no room service after that. I was flabbergasted at his approach. We Were There To Enjoy Our Holidays and it was start of our trip which they had kind of ruined. We lodged a complaint with Make my Trip and ITC. We requested to change our place of stay within 4 hours after check in and even offered to pay the DIFFERENCE AMOUNT from our pocket but they could not manage it. At last we Just Decided To Stay Out As Long As Possible So That We Don’t Have To Face This Place. PROS: Couldn’t find any !! Even being located on main road leading to AO NANG Beach, i wouldn’t recommend to go through such pain here as there are many options available on the same road. OVERALL A COMPLETE NO NO FOR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS GROUP ALIKE !!

An oasis in the busy Ao Nang area. Don't know how I could miss this place for so long! The place is very quiet and not far from many restaurants there. The beach is in the walking distance as well. The view is breathtaking as well.

Be careful! This is indeed a gorgeous hotel with stellar pool views and that "Jungle" feel. But. We spent two nights here on our recent trip to Thailand & after coming back from a day trip on our second night, we tried opening the safe several times with the code we've used all along and to our surprise, the code just wouldn't work. When we asked the hotel staff to open the safe with a special machine, camera, iPad, and all documents were still there but we noticed 145 dollars out of a total of 305 was missing. There were no broken doors or windows and it did not look like anyone has broken in. When we addressed this with the hotel staff at front desk, they barely spoke English and said "Everything is okay." Well, it wasn't to us. They were not able to provide us with an explanation or even a video footage of the hotel and did not address this issue at all. We were robbed at this hotel and the only explanation is that the hotel staff had access to the safe. We were trying to wrap our heads around this and just can't come up with any other explanation. Thankfully they didn't take all of our money and were "kind enough" to leave us enough money so that we could take transportation the next day. It seems to us whoever took the money was hoping we wouldn't notice. We are very, very unhappy with our experience here. The hotel staff was completely unresponsive to this big issue and no help or explanation was offered. We will never stay at this hotel again.

A group of 4 young girls including myself stayed here for a week and it was perfect for us. It was just as pictured, a short walk from the beach and right next to a family mart which was handy. There were issues with wifi and cold showers but they were solved simply by asking the staff to fix them. I noticed other guests complaining quite a lot about Mosquitos but apparently they didn't prepare for tropical Thailand with insect repellent! Very beautiful resort with even better views. Loved our stay here and would recommend to any age group ready for a relaxing stay in Ao Nang.

This place was perfect for my friends and I for a week in Ao Nang. Within walking distance of the beach, restaurants and shops it was just what we needed. The rooms were clean with an outdoor style bathroom and the pool overlooked the famous cliffs of Krabi. The only fault I could find was that the wifi for the rooms didn't work- however connecting to the reception wifi and sitting by the pool worked fine. Would stay here again :)

The hotel has a great view of the cliff (aligning to its name) and the ambience is good! I feel that the food options are very limited and for a person who is a vegetarian, might have to look for options outside. The location is a plus point though; it is situated in the heart of Ao Nang and the market place is pretty near.

If you like peace and quiet during your holiday in Ao Nang, this is a decent place to stay. The pool-area overlooks the cliff nicely and the rooms are fine. However the hotel lay-out is rather small, for instance; there are some rooms from which you directly step on to the pool deck (which by the way is full of repaired pieces). Another downer for me was the fact that the bathroom is outside. One night I stepped into the bathroom and instantly my neighbour farted so loud I had to step back in to giggle. Everybody farts but hey, ain't nobody that wants to hear a stranger take a dump right next to you when you're on vacation. Or ever... Also the doors are really not as safe as you would want, you could easily break open a door without too much noise. Another downpoint to the hotel is that the bar closes at 3:30 pm. Overall it was fine, but I would 'nt stay here for longer than a few days.

We booked this hotel going on its rating and arrived on Jan 8th around 10pm from Phuket.. trust me hotel needs lot of renovation. Place was dirty, smelly and room doors are not safe. Room smells of wood and have seen insects inside the room. The only good thing about the hotel is cliff view which is also visible once you enter Ao Nang. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone anytime. Check out tomorrow morning Jan 10th and never coming back to hotel.
