Breakfast was nice. We got water delivered to our room free of charge. Bread at breakfast was especially nice. Tea nice. Plenty of sunbeds around the infinity pool. The only pool I saw . Entertainment nice. Beds were comfortable. Cleaning was good. Lovely balcony and got sun at times. Taxis were cheap £8 - 10 euros up and down. It was the only means of transport to get water. etc. I liked the water and biscuits at check-in, also wine. We got a bottle of bubbly delivered to our room, much appreciated. The escalator up and down to the dining room and lounge was perfect. The staff were very obliging and helpful. Liked theme nights, there was an Irish, and there was something every night to eat. Soup was lovely desserts too nice.

No orange juice except from the machine I inquired from a member of staff, who advised me that I could have freshly squeezed orange juice for £4.50 per glass. I declined. This is something to deal with. We paid for water, in restaurant each night. One night we ordered a bottle of wine, just 2 glasses for £13 thought it a rip off, Fry not good ,my husband tried it but skipped it then. I love to walk but could not walk down or up the very steep hills. The Hotel is situated on a cliff edge. When we visited some time back, there was an escalator going right down from the hotel to the borders of Puerto Rico a lovely town but escalator is not working any more. This was a big disappointment, and i wished I had read visitors' experience. I should have been told in advance, as my husband has Parkinson's and loves his walk each day, this did upset him, I had to get taxi or there was a bus which travelled irregularly, The worst we encountered when i asked at check in about the Thallosso Spa and pool which was our main reason for choosing Gloria Palace Amadores was the Thallosso suite I believe we should have been informed before we went. Dinner was not great. They had pork as main meat, mostly, No steak fried to the customer's choice. I would not return due to the reasons outlined. The Hotel did not meet my needs
