beautiful property - friendly staff - excellent dining

We had a great experience at Mokuti Etosha. The food was excellent — we especially enjoyed the freshly cooked oryx, which was a real highlight. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, with a special mention to the breakfast and dinner cooks who were always cheerful and friendly. The sundowners and game drives were also fantastic, led by knowledgeable guides who really brought the landscape and wildlife to life. The pool area was beautiful and a perfect spot to relax in between activities. The only downside for us was the deep tissue massage, which unfortunately didn’t meet expectations. Despite asking for more pressure, it remained far too soft throughout. This was a joint session, and both my partner and I felt the same — it just wasn’t quite what we were hoping for.

Beautiful location, food and great customer service. It was an ideal location being close to Etosha National Park. Buffet meals were delicious and ideally timed. All the interactions with staff was pleasant. This summarizes my impressions of our 1 day stay.

One of the best hotel experiences we had in Africa overall. Beautiful facilities, very friendly and well trained staff, great food and ideal proximity to the Etosha park. 100% recommendation! Special mention to our Mokuti Safari guide Emma, who gave us the best personal game drive we had in Namibia. She was very attentive, explained a lot and went the extra mile to show us all the animals we hoped for.

On the outskirts of Etosha Park this lodge amply provides demanding travellers with all they may wish for: splendid gardens, a wonderful pool and spa facilities. 'Where luxury meets the wild' is a true epitheton for this place. Service was personalised, and very friendly.

I always wanted to go there and my experience was very amazing from the check in to the views. The hospitality of the staff members is really a 10/10. I would like to give a big shout out to Mr Mathews for making my birthday trip a memorable one by meeting all my expectations.

We stayed at Mokuti Lodge as a group of 10 and were truly looking forward to the experience given the lodge’s reputation and price point. While the setting is beautiful and the check-in staff were friendly and professional, the rest of our stay unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. The rooms were very underwhelming for a lodge of this magnitude. For such a premium establishment, you’d expect more attention to detail and comfort. Our twin beds kept shifting apart during the night — something as simple as a top-layered cover to keep the beds together would’ve made a huge difference. It’s small oversights like this that made the rooms feel more basic than they should. A major concern for all of us was the mosquito situation. There were no nets provided, and every single person in our group was badly bitten despite using repellent — it truly affected the quality of our sleep and stay. The dining experience was equally disappointing. The dinner buffet lacked variety and felt uninspired, and we were shocked to see flies around the salad bar. Breakfast was even worse — no staff to take drink orders, cold items that didn’t seem fresh, and only one person making eggs for all guests, which led to long waits. There were no visible efforts to keep the food covered and protected from insects, which was very off-putting. Sadly, one of our group members even got food poisoning after dinner on the second night. On a more positive note, the pool area is beautiful and the activity offerings were good, but those were not enough to redeem the overall experience. For how expensive this lodge is, we expected significantly better. There’s potential here, but serious attention needs to be given to comfort, hygiene, and basic guest needs.
