Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa

We used the Accessible room 308 on the upper floor (via a lift). Our wheelchair had plenty of room inside the room and bathroom. Facilities in the bathroom were good but the shampoo and shower gel containers were out of reach for a wheelchair user. This was fed back to the management who seemed keen to take it on board. Bedroom had a comfortable lounge area with sofa and chairs and a view of the garden. The king size bed was comfortable, a super-king would have been better! The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Special call out to Karen who went the extra mile to help us.

Our only criticism was in regard to the food in the restaurant at dinner. Some of the options were strange combinations of ingredients and just didn’t work. Other dishes lacked flavour (onion bhaji burnt, cod with rarebit and mustard seed?) others were very good.

A lovely stay in a good location .

Setting

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely - had both continental and full English breakfast options. Walking distance from Llangollen. Nice bar and outdoor area to have a drink (weather permitting). I would definately return if I was in the area again!
