Anantara Angkor Resort

About 1 hour's drive from the airport. The location is not quite as green and tranquil as I had expected — outside the city, but the center reachable by tuk-tuk in 10–15 minutes for less than 2.50 USD. Very friendly and warm welcome; as a welcome gesture, they placed a scarf around my neck and washed my feet. Large room with a lot of mahogany wood, a beautiful antique-style vanity, functional and excellent shower with good water pressure and high-quality amenities. Sleep quality good to very good — cotton bedding, topper (a bit too soft for my taste) but without any plastic underlays. Breakfast performance outstanding: Attractive presentation, nothing dried out or looking tired, bread quality good, freshly prepared egg dishes, fine noodle soup on request, very tasty ripe fruit, wide variety of freshly squeezed juices, and a jasmine tea that I absolutely loved. Impeccable attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. Was a real pleasure to have breakfast there. In contrast, my visit to the restaurant on one evening was more disappointing. The ox cheeks I ordered were full of gristle. Organization of tours: Requested two or three days in advance that the main temple visits (Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Banteay Kdei, Banteay Srei, Preah Khan, and Ta Prohm) be arranged by car on two separate days. On the first day I broke off the excursion because the guide’s English was too poor. The hotel generously responded to immediately provide a different guide the next day, without charging the costs, except for the tuk-tuk. The 2nd guide came across as significantly better in terms of knowledge and English language capabilities. With him, the quite strenuous (due to the heat) temple visits were interesting, educational and quite entertaining. Highly recommend visiting Ta Prohm late in the afternoon as your last stop – for the best photos. Thank you Sinan! Overall: a very good stay at the Anantara. Many services of high to very high quality, though priced in the upper-high range but worth it!

We only had 2 days in Siem Reap and needed to make the most of it. The resort is beautiful and restful, and all of the excursion they planned were perfect. We chose the trip to some outlying temples, Angkor Wat at dawn, and sunset on a private boat on the lake. Our private guide was superb (same one for all 3 tours) and we learned a tremendous amount. The location is removed from the hubbub and the room spacious , beautiful, and spotless. We had a private dinner (with wine pairing) and shadow puppet show. The food was great (we could select our own menu) and it was a perfect ending to our first day. All the staff were friendly and helpful, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay.

We loved our time at Anantara! We were only here for 2 nights but it was an amazing experience. The staff were so helpful and kind, the food at the restaurant was excellent, the pool area was very nice and the rooms were spacious and clean. Overall a very restful experience, we’d love to come back

Great location for Angkor wat, easy to get into town for dinner. Lovely pool and facilities, nothing was too much trouble

This place was awesome . The staff and hospitality some do the warmest and friendliest I’ve ever had staying at a resort . We were lucky enough to have most of the place tour ourselves over a week which was incredible. It’s a little out of the city centre but that adds to the charm and serenity

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on our SE Asia adventure to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was the best decision, ever!! Hospitality is key here, and we had the most amazing team catering to our specific needs. What an amazing property and the most kind staff. Thank you again for taking such good care of us. Cheers!!

The Anantara has been a haven of tranquillity in a busy place . I call it a boutique luxury hotel with 39 rooms. We stayed 3 nights and have enjoyed it immensely. The bed was and pillows are as good as you could ever want. The restaurant offers a great range of Cambodian cuisine and European dishes. We only ate Cambodian which was delicious the lovely pool area had comfortable beds and excellent poolside food services. The butler and teams arranged a private tour to Angkor Wat at dawn and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable. There was nothing they couldn’t sort for us and every person was so friendly and welcoming. Would come back in a shot. Luckily we are off to Anantara Mui Ne next in Vietnam.

Анантара моя любимая сеть отелей, в Камбодже отель такой же прекрасный, как и в других странах! Мы брали большой номер, с 2-мя спальнями ( были с детьми)- шикарный номер! Даже есть отдельная комната для массажа! Каждый день отель проводил разные мероприятия, помогал с трансфером, экскурсиями и организации досуга. Придумывал разные сюрпризы для наших детей! Вечером можно заказать ужин с шоу танцев, либо просто провести винную дегустацию. Потрясающий спа! Хорошая еда в ресторане. Создается впечатление, что в отеле вы одни и всё внимание только вам! Нам очень всё понравилось!

Отель маленький, гулять негде, сюда приезжают только для осмотра Ангкор Вата. Так же не советую брать индивидуальную экскурсию от отеля на ферму лотоса. Немного не стоит своих денег. Но это конечно же не вина отеля, они всего лишь посредники в данном случае. Так же немного медлительный персонал в ресторане, не всегда понимают английский. Но это всё мелочи!
