Hilton Garden Inn Chesapeake/Suffolk

Large lobby area. Plenty of seating and lounging areas. Nice outdoor space along with separate smoking oasis. I don’t smoke but it’s nice to see they have a separate smoking covered patio area for them to enjoy. Clean room with suite options. I will be back

The room was well above average. Very clean with plenty of space. SEE THE PROBLEM I HAD IN WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE.

I was parked close to the main door entrance in handicap parking just 2 two spaces away. In broad day light on Saturday 9/27/25 between 8 AM & 9:30 AM my driver's side rear view mirror was complexly smashed up and was hanging off by the cord. Looked like heat components and mirror were gone and just the frame of the mirror was left. A tried to talk to the manger on duty at check in desk but they would not even come out of the back to talk to me was completely. I could only talk to the check in person. She told me that the parking spaces was public property, and even though they were on their property and they were not responsible in any way and told me to file police report. I was in strange city and asked them to help and call the local police. It took them 20 minutes to a half hour to call. Check-in lady kept telling me that her manager was in the process. Both check in person and the manager who would not come out of the back room were unconcerned and did not want to hear about what happened on Hotel/Motel property. I had to wait another day so I would not have to drive home 150 miles at night because of not having a Driver's side rear view mirror.

Air conditioner was leaking way, maintenance couldn’t fix it until the next day. Checked about maintenance next day and they said they didn’t see the request. They put it in again and it was finally fixed. Asked for housekeeping because I was out of towels from the AC flood and was told no because they only do it every other day and they already went around at 8am.. they said they’d at least drop off towels but no towels when I returned that evening. The gentleman at the desk finally brought up towels himself. The hot tub jets or heating element were not working. They said they were going to get rid of the hot tub. The pool water was so cloudy that you couldn’t see your feet.

Unfortunately the cleaning staff apparently quit and the replacements were terrible. I arrived Fri late afternoon and room not ready. I checked out Monday, they never cleaned my room and the soap dispenser was empty. Fortunately I had some in my bag. No regular coffee in room.Then I got an added charge for $1.95 two days after checkout. Not worth a phone call to dispute. It wasn't for water because there wasn't any in the room. Very disappointing.
