Hotel Northern Star

Great stay!

I travel for business and booked my stay here for business as well. This property shows the need for immediate repair and attention is outdated from paint needed on walls to ceiling tiles needing repair. The air quality in the room itself is stale and smells like smoke when I checked into my hotel room. There was a nice little surprise in the microwave oven and somebody left their fried chicken dinner. The front desk did switch rooms. However, the air quality in the second room was still smelling of smoke. The window of the room was cracked. The fiberglass tub felt like it was going to crack beneath me. I’ve never seen a property in this repair as this one is not deserving of any stars When I mentioned my dissatisfaction, they said that they are starting renovations and did not consider anything else regarding my experience I will avoid this hotel if it’s my only option.

Walked in and waited over 10 minutes for front desk person to show up, no bell or buzzer to calll them. Rooms are old. Smell very musty and Smokey. Internet jack hookups don’t work. Light in the bathroom was a fluorescent bulb that was basically a strobe light. Bathtub spout was basically falling off. Picture on 15 year old tv in room all distorted. Couch in room falling apart. Bed unccomfortable. I had a feeling this place would be bad, but all the other hotels around were sold out. Thankfully it was only one night

Simple. Do not stay here. I have never left a review in my life until now. This place is just plain terrible in every aspect of a hotel and I stay in lots of them.

Dirty

The staff were friendly.

The bathroom had a terrible repair job, the counters were dirty, the mirror tv and walls were dirty. Breakfast was terrible. Definitely not worth 179 before all the fees and taxes really disappointed hoping to get a partial refund for the stay.

Shower was old and loud. Creeked with every movment while in it. Bed was uncomfortable.
