Hotel Northern Star

I found this hotel over priced for 1 person. The room smelt like old musty carpet. Bed was very uncomfortable..everything else was ok, continental breakfast was fine as well.

I have pets, and i always look at what the cost is. It either says $$$ per pet or $$$ per stay. This one said per stay so i booked it. I get there and he asks how many, i said 2 but the description said per stay (land i showed him)not per pet, he wouldn't budge on that and i had to pay an extra $50 pet fee. This empty hotel at best should have been at max $100/night. It cost us $154/night plus the $50 pet fee. There was visible mud on the floor and in the bathroom there was a used Q-tip on the floor. The bathroom sink was also cracked. The only good thing there was the food from the restaurant.

Very dirty from the start. Went to bed on my first nights stay and woke up to mouse droppings on all the counter tops. Checked out immediately and will never be back.

The room smells like oil or solvent. The bed seems small for a queen and is not very comfortable.

The room we had 411 had a really bag smell in of poop then we asked for another room they wouldn’t let us change room an on top of that the house keeper guy refused to give us extra towels Saturday so we bought air freshener to put in room Saturday evening so we didn’t have to smell that room it made our clothing smell an our window was open on the 2nd floor when we checked in on Friday so they were probably airing out that poop smell an didn’t tell inform us

The room smelled like urine, mold on the window. Carpet was wet. The hotel itself was very run down. Do not recommend. Hotel staff was nice and trying to be helpful, but no other rooms were available. Had to find a new hotel.

The rooms were not very clean. The property is certainly in disrepair, which is not reflected in the advertising. The sauna/steam room advertised has clearly not been in use for quite some time as it's currently being used as a storage facility. The fitness room is also in disrepair. Overall, for a last minute place to stay, it had clean sheets and a comfortable bed, so it does the job.

The property was dirty, tv not working despite asking for a remote tv which wasn't in the room when we arrived, the phone was not working, probably put there as a decoration

I believe its under renos, or hopefully it is. heavy rains when i was that had caused leaks in the roof in a couple spots in the common area.
