Martinhal Quinta Family Resort

Pleasant surprise when we arrived the villa was huge and maintained at a very high standard, everything you needed and more. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Little Deli on site with great fresh produce including bread & croissants. Only downside Quinta do Lago is not a town it's purpose built complex's around golf courses all very nice but no cafes, bars or restaurants (apart from one) other than on the complex which are expensive, you need to hire a car to get into the towns. Driving is nice and relaxed but a few strange junctions and signs. For any wildlife lovers its a good spot with Ria de Formosa nature reserve 20 mins walk away, Flamingo's, Hoopoe etc. also Red necked Nightjar in the local pine wood, would definitely go back.

Lovely villa. Nice pool area. Good choice of breakfast. Downside you can't pay cash at the pool everything has to go to the villa. Can't pay cash in the shop. Needs adult only pool far to many kids by the pool so was noisy.

We had a very nice villa with private pool. The villa had all the equipment a family with (young) children needs and also had the necessary safety features. The food is the restaurant was very good and they also had a special menu for babies, just brilliant!

Cannot fault the villa at all. Last year we stayed there in a 4 bed detached villa and this year in a 3 bed townhouse as we had one less in party. We were worried it was going to be much smaller in comparison but we were pleasantly surprised. It’s great to have the communal pool to visit too and there is plenty of play equipment to keep children entertained. The breakfast is excellent if you want a day off. My only complaint is that although the villas were super clean, the toilet facilities at the pool were less so and not checked regularly.

5 star stay - especially for big families - worth the extra spend and much mor relaxed than a package holiday that costs the same !

OUR EXPERIENCE AT THE MARTINHAL RESORT WAS AMAZING. OUR VILLA WAS EVEN BETTER THAN WE IMAGINED FROM THE DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE. JUST AWESOME!!! AND THE STAFF..... THE MARTINHAL STAFF WAS UNLIKE ANY STAFF I HAVE SEEN ANYWHERE ELSE. EVERYONE TREATED US LIKE FAMILY, AND THIS MADE FOR AN EXCEPTIONALLY REWARDING EXPERIENCE. MANY THNAKS TO EVERYONE WHO WORKS AT MF RESORT QUINTA do LAGO.

We were very impressed by the spacious high quality town house. Our garden with its little pool was private and a real sun trap. The pool hangout area was fab - our children loved the trampoline and camper van, which really helped them find friends. We used the indoor pool on a rainy day, which was also lovely. Breakfasts were a real treat and all the food we ate at lunch and dinner was lovely. Our children went to kids club twice and really enjoyed it. The shop on site is smart and has good quality, albeit limited produce. We did find we needed to use the larger supermarket, which is only a 4 min drive away and also good quality. The nearby beach is beautiful. A great stay.

I will like to mention that the customer service from the reception to the Mbar was fantastic especially will two staffs called Bruno and Enrique, they really made us feel welcome.

We stayed one night but would definitely consider a golf holiday in the future. Clean, comfortable, spacious.
