"I loved the hotel and its history, complemented by exceptional staff."

Breakfast was excellent - great choice, lovely staff. I was going to the cricket so the location was ideal.

The lift can be problematic, due mainly to guests not following the ample instructions in the lift. It could be frustrating however.

We were very pleased with the room especially having a little fridge on such a hot weekend. It was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Lots of room to spread out made it a very comfortable stay.

"Good value hotel"

We had a sea view which was wonderful. The room was comfortable & spacious.

The breakfast was a little disappointing - there was little choice in breakfast cereals & it would have been nice to have a teapot for tea instead of using a hot water machine for each cup of tea. Also there was only white & brown sliced bread. Croissants or something similar would have been good.

Well situated with good views over north bath. Short walk via coastal road to south bay and central Scarborough.

Evening menu but order via the bar, but we were able to sit in restaurant area. Not possible to get meals after 7pm.,

"Last minute decision to stay over to attend the cricket for extra day, so hotel served its purpose."

Lovely Location overlooking the castle and north bay. I treated myself to a double with sea view. The room was dated, but value for money considering what I paid. The exterior in particular needs renovation, not a good first impression,

The hotel generally had a feeling of being tired and disappointing that there wasn't on site parking available, despite my identifying a car park space which wasn't used for the entirety of my stay.

The staff are all so friendly. Excellent location for the cricket and north bay.

The hotel looks a little dated in places but it's clean and comfortable.
