Sandy Beach Resort

We arrived at Sandy Beach Hotel after 10 pm May 26. We saw dead and live cockroaches; one escaped from the bathroom into the main area. The room looked ancient, beds were uncomfortable, and we woke with back and neck pain. A musty smell lingered even with windows wide open. Rust was visible throughout the resort. Every meal at the main restaurant was the same low-quality buffet with a foul odor. Juices, wine, and beer from dispensers were disgusting. Pool drinks were poor quality and premium options like mojitos and Aperol were not included in the all-inclusive plan. They claimed to run out of sparkling wine by morning, but that was false. Sunbeds, water slides, and pool stairs were filthy and unsafe for children. At the pool bar and nearby food area, staff had a terrible attitude when asked what was included. When we requested each pizza slice in a separate paper bag, they reacted poorly. This place does not deserve any stars. Calling it a five-star resort is misleading and turned our holiday into a nightmare. If we had known the ratings and reviews were fake, we would never have booked. The animation team made our daughter cry. All kids danced in a show and were told they'd receive surprises, but only Kids Club members got medals. Other resorts give candy, but here they gave nothing. Everything felt cheap: food was abysmal, drinks were terrible, and shows were low-budget. The stage was old plywood painted poorly. Even giving sweets after the disco was too much. No value.

Room was lovely and towards front of the hotel, cleaned regularly. The food was lovely, lots of range, from salads to desserts and drinks. We arrived late on the first day and was offered to get some sandwiches and drinks also. Entertain I had to say was amazing. The main gentleman doing the games etc by the beach bar.. is amazing.. bravo!! Only down side is we went in April. The pool was freezing! Warmer to go in the sea. Beautiful sea though. Plus lovely shop just by the beach outside of resort if need fresh fruit,drinks and gifts etc for your room

The positives...... good sized rooms catering to larger families and friendly staff. Our rooms were not serviced daily which was poor for a hotel advertised as 4 star. We also had the frustrating scenario of the key card entry not working multiple times during the stay. We subsequently visited reception on a daily basis to have at least one of the two cards re programmed. The token situation was fine, not something I have come across before but does ensure there are no empties laying around. We didn't have any problem with this. The restaurant is way too big, crowded and noisy. Not being seated on arrival means once you have found a table, you end up going up to get food in "shifts" so as not to lose it! Sitting down and having a meal together as a family is something I value and was sadly lacking here - could easily be rectified by seating guests rather than it being a bun fight situation. The food itself became very samey despite the initial impression of a wide choice and, by the time you have negotiated the crowds and made it back to your table it was cold. Very underwhelming - we ended up eating out. We were unable to dine at the Italian restaurant despite a 10 night stay - fully booked. The Greek restaurant meal was disappointing - again, cold food. We had no problem obtaining a sun bed by one of the pools / beach although I suspect that was due to the hotel not being full. All of the sun umbrella's we came across had the pin missing. Not a huge problem in October but would have been frustrating in August. Upon departure I realised that cash had gone missing from my purse in my handbag that had been in the room for the entire stay. Given the all inclusive nature of the resort we didn't carry any cash around whilst there - shop purchases were made by card. Having contacted the hotel to notify them of this situation I received no response despite a second email following up.

This is not a 4 or 5 star hotel. I would say it's 3. The location is lovely but quite far away from anything, so buses or taxis needed. Would give the food a 2 star rating. Didn't Like the plastic cups for the evening, felt cheap. We paid 500 each so wasn't too bad. But if I had paid more I would be fuming. If you're looking for a cheap break then great but don't expect luxury.

Me and my family stayed at this resort in october for 1 week! and i tell you what it was awesome! Clean tidy the staff was friendly the priivate beach was awesome aswell i cannot fault this resort at all and i will be returning thats for sure but for 10 days next time! the sun set from my balcony was amazing aswell! please ignore any negative comments you see about this resort!! as i felt the same! But i see one of my pals went here in july and. i was due to go october! So i asked what the resort was like and she said is was amazing! When we got there we made our own minds up!! and it was amazing perfect first family holiday for us it was!! and cannot wait to return! They had enough drinks to keep pirates going!! and they was not shy on giving you a drink either proper 🤣 labranda sandy beach resort you done us proud 😎

Amazing hotel 5 star service food was so lovely breakfast lunch dinner situated on lovely white sandy beach Lots bars restaurants walking distance into main town and fabulous Greek tavern 2 min walk family run live music on Friday evening. Im going back 2025 couldn’t recommend any more 10/10

Choice of pools, beautiful sunsets and relaxing environment across the complex

As a family of 5 & having done all inclusive before this stood out in many aspects Teenager entertainment was great the 5:6 staff members were fantastic bit during the day & night Beach & pool areas were good (pools slightly cold) lots of beds Food was good always something to have could be difficult at times to find seats for 5 but the waiters/cleaners always helped & tables were cleaned for you before you sat down. Have no faults & would recommend

Lovely stay with extended family. Staff very kind and helpful. Especially Rania from pool bar. She was so friendly and bubbly and could not do enough for us. Local restaurants nice too

The shower is old, every day the same food. All the food with pork meat, the room service is too late. The bars is not all included, only few drinks was free.
