Acceptable with good location spoilt by totally insufficient soundproofing between 2nd floor and third floor. Between first and second floor not a problem as the floor is concrete but the third floor must have is undersized timber flooring with no sound proofing. Young family room above and one can hear every step taken by the parents and children, non stop from 5.50am until breakfast time at 8.00am. Impossible to sleep, LIght shade would rattle too.
Room was way, way too hot when walking in. Bathroom was a decent size but shower wasnt very powerful. Room was large and basic but functional. Bed extremely comfy. Bar on first floor - food was fantastic and staff were excellent
Nice area and friendly staff, but the bar area was more like a local pub than a hotel. That being said, the food options were good and it met our needs.
Arrived at 14:45 and was not available to book in which I was aware of the 15:00 book in time but then asked to use a toilet and was told that the bar was not open so this option was not available. I was asked to come back in 15mins. Seems a bit petty to me but................Rooms good clean and comfortable, noise good but if a fussy sleeper ask for a room off the road.

The blond lady in reception was lovely friendly lady, nice clean room, breakfast was okay but expensive and standard was just okay, morning lady in reception was unfriendly and rude.
There is no toilet facility for anyone in the public area before their restaurant /pub opens in the evening. Never heard of this in any hotel that I had stay before. And I had stay over hundreds!!!
