"Low Key Family Fun"

10.0

Warner Springs Ranch is not fancy but it's the perfect comfy place for family fun. The staff is kind and accommodating. The roaring open campfires and activities felt like an East Coast family resort. When it rained we took off to the neighboring town of Julian and took a tour in a real gold mine and went panning- some places will even let you keep what you pan. Juilan is rightly famous for their pie! Go and have some fun.

"Overrated - think this peaked in the early 60's..."

4.0

We stayed at this hotel as it looked on their website like it would be fun. When we got to the hotel we realized that we could certainly have gotten better quality for price elsewhere. In addition to what we paid for the room they charged us an additional $10 fee for "recreation". When we asked what it ment they said something to the effect of for towles at the hotspring pools. Strange towels would not be covered. A bit silly really. The hotspring pools were nice - and very warm - the hot was 104 degrees which was quite nice. The rooms were old and quite run down - the carpets did not seem very clean and the bathroom was dark and didn't feel very clean. The room had a fireplace but they charge $7 for a very tiny bundle of wood. The overall feel of the grounds were that it had seen better days. The upkeep has certainly not seemed a priority. I did not find the front desk staff particularly friendly or helpful (the towel gentleman at the pool was much more freindly). And then the food...we were told there was a resturanty on site (possibly even two) but we were there on easter and it only offered a very expensive specialty meal. Same with for breakfast - one very expensive option. We had to drive significant distance to get any food. So - overall, cons - not good value for money, quite run down, not especially clean, not great service, very few food options. Pros - the hotspring pool was nice. Also it is near the Anza Borrega desert State Park which was very nice. But that being said probably better just to stay closer to the park in Borrega Springs.

"Excellent"

The place i stay had finally upgraded with nice, tile bath room. I wished the carpet would have done with the replacement as well; otherwise it was a nice place to relax , and enjoy the night with love ones.
