VOI Kiwengwa Resort

Rooms are not very clean, insects on the floors, towels are smelly, entertainment only for Italians speaking guests , sitting area in the lounge not comfortable, dinning room is very casual , food covers are not tight to prevent insects in the dining room , public bathroom not clean, quality of food is good and good varieties, lighting in the main dining room is uninviting, beach is nice and clean , lack of water bottles

The hotel itself is good one on the budget. The food is good and people are friendly. The only problem for us : full of italien. The entertainment,service all in italien. So we have feeling that isolated from the culture and atmosphere italien.

The local staff were fabulous, the Italian staff not so friendly to non Italians. I love Italy and the Italian people, but I think the marketing for this hotel should be a little more forthcoming about "true Italian hospitality" meaning that the entire resort caters to Italians. I have stayed at Spanish owned resorts, but that doesn't mean it is focused only on Spanish people and didn't appreciate the subtlety when booked. This resort is focused on Italians only and could be a more inclusive for Non-Italian guests. Entertainment looked fun, but the Italian staff only engaged the Italian guests in those activities, up to and including a reservation desk for Italians only, and the entertainment board in Italian and next to the Italians only desk. If this was the intent, I completely missed it in the marketing and hotel selection. FYI...I do speak some Italian, but I may have chosen another resort to have a more Tanzanian Zanzibar experience.

Had a fabulous 8 days in the Voi resort in Kiwengwa... staff were very friendly and attentive... there was a large choice of food and drink available throughout the day. Only downside with not being Italian is all the hotel entertainment is in Italian and all guests apart from myself and my friend were Italian. It did not put me off my trip but would most likely discourage me from revisiting this resort.

A piece of Italy in Zanzibar! Beautiful location great room, Italian towels linen etc. and amazing food. This is a big resort and can cater for roughly 500 people, so not the best option if you want to be isolated. As per previous reviews, the resort is overwhelmingly Italian, so not the best option if you want to be included in the various activities on the beach night life etc. However all the staff are really friendly we were entertained by the surroundings,do speak with the locals for great excursions

The rooms are clean and comfortable though facilities not updated. The swimming pool, the beach location and the various activities with the staff keep you entertained. The restaurants have a wide variety of food which is prepared fresh sometimes as you wait. The food is really nice mix of international and local cuisuines. This is definitely one of the selling point.

This is a really nice resort, great food, great location with comfortable rooms. Only downside is that it is difficult to get around as everything is in Italian. Staff was really helpful though.

Small room but very comfortable, nice pool, nice long beach to walk. Excellent Italien food and the fish is so good. Resort very clean. Like it a lot, nice place to rest.

I am surprised with the clean less poor service ALL INCLOSIVENESS and old stuff like towels and covers On should really go through and review the facilities and condition of this hotel Please help the people who would chose the hotel trough Internet Please please advise people there is such a WiFi internet closed to non Regards
