Room was clean and breakfast that meets my dietary restrictions was available

The shower was a little dingy as well as some of the room walls

The staff was awesome and helpful...it was clean as usual...this place never disappoints

I can say I don't have one complaint

The staff, house keepers, front desk, were all very nice. The breakfast was really good, but would have really enjoyed a relaxing breakfast on Saturday morning instead of eating in our room due to issues listed below.

To tell you why the property did not meet our expectations, we booked about 2 weeks earlier for our stay. When we arrived at the hotel there was only 1 room left. We arrived around 10:06. We did not get into our room until after 11:30 due to first, our keys not working. The front desk made another set of keys but those didn't work either. After about 3 sets of keys, she came up and we finally got into our room. The air/heat was frozen over, therefore the floor was wet and at first the heat would not come on. The light in the bathroom was not working either. They could not give us another room due to a cheerleading competition in the area and no rooms were available. We were told they would move us in the morning. This trip was for rest and relaxation and it started out wrong. After all was decided we would move in the morning, we realized we could not lock our door at all. We had to use the safety bar for that night. We didn't sleep well knowing the door was not locked. The next morning, we wanted to go down and eat breakfast but one of us had to stay in the room due to the lock not working. My husband actually went down stairs and they gave him small wrenches and batteries to try and fix the lock, which he could not. On the second trip downstairs to get breakfast to bring up to the room, the elevator quit working. We were on the 4th floor. We did have plans that morning with friends, but we could not leave until they put us in another room because we had all of our things in the room and could not leave them there. Therefore, our plans changed real quick. Finally, between 11:30 and 12:00, they moved us to a new room, which did meet our expectations. We were given a small refund of 38.00, which we do appreciate, but felt it should have been more or even given one of the nights back to us, especially the first one, since it was such a mess.
