W Maldives

We stayed at W Maldives for 3 nights and had a truly wonderful experience from the moment we landed at the airport. The entire journey was seamless, and I felt warmly welcomed right away. Thank you the airport team - Knowing how desperately we would like to meet a wild whale shark, the airport team surprised us with a welcome gift of a cute whale shark pin and a blessing card. Thank you the staff in the STYLE team and also from FIRE/ KITCHEN / SIP- The room was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing. The sunset view at SIP was absolutely stunning — definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The grilled BBQ dinner at the FIRE beach was delicious with lovely live music performance. Breakfast at Kitchen has a wide variety of choices! Thank you Aarti / Mark - We enjoyed the sunrise/sunset yoga practice, which was peaceful and a great way to start/end the day in such a beautiful environment. Aqua fit was tiring but fun! Thank you Ding and the crew - Last but not the least, the whale shark tour was absolutely incredible and unforgettable. It was such a special moment. We were lucky the gentle giant swam with us for a long time. Thank you team Whatever/Whenever, they are truly heroes behind the scene - The service throughout the stay was superb. Every staff member I met was genuinely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help anytime, anywhere. I really wish I could remember all their names because each of them played a part in making this trip so special. Their warmth, professionalism, and positive energy truly stood out. W Maldives exceeded my expectations in every aspect — amazing service, beautiful surroundings, and fantastic experiences. A big thank you to the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable. I would highly recommend it and hope to return again soon.

Best hotel in Maldives, best reef in Maldives, best restaurants in hotels I have been in my life, best Buttler in the world (Aiham), best fish I have had in my life in FISH restaurant (thanks chef Bacca and aquaman), best diving center and instructor (thanks Ding and Ben)…. W Maldives Experience I have always been a W hotels fan , and the stay at W Maldives has outburst my emotions. Stayed for 2 nights and celebrated my birthday here ON 23rd March . The moment you arrive at the Airport, the W magic start to charm you up - both the airport representative were superb . The lounge at the TMA is extremely well taken care off The real magic starts once you put your first step on the resort …!!! The W tribe welcomes you in grand style and the clarified welcome drink is to a very high standard level being served. Management team greet and meet during the arrival which wins all hearts - Zahir , Anees , Fayaz , Calissa and others ensured everything goes flawless. Calissa was our island insider took us on the island tour on buggies which felt like you’re seated on a Hummer with giant wheels. She gave brief insights about the resort and connected us with Whatever Whenever service. We had overwater Villa booked and it was impeccable - with B&F amenities, Special welcome note from GM and a beautiful chalk art done on the glass door panel. The Villa had a perfect on and off mode to keep yourself busy to be inside or outside the Villa with a great infinity pool , cabanas and deck beds - the color elements in the Villa is outstanding. Beverage and Food is the DNA for the resort and Service is the pulse - had the privilege to interact with Shane , Manikanta , Kamlesh , Chef Rohini, Dilya, Lirugam + others always had a pure genuine smile and care with them in everything interaction. Every B&F experience is to a ultra luxury and they make you feel very special- right from amazing cocktails with blown-away sunset from SIP, Amazing breakfast experience at Kitchen, Dinner at Fish, Wet Deck Vibe by DJ Meek was setting up the scene, In Villa dining offerings etc. The Reef of the resort is the USP - we had a very big stretch of live corals next to our Villa, meeting the legendary BOB - turtle at the house reef was great and even got lucky to see Pancake - their ray sneaking in and out near Villas. Plenty of Turtles, Eagle rays , black tip sharks and countless fishes are there to explore. The team working at the resort are the real disruptors - they know you personally very well and ensures everything is well taken care off . We spent 5 nights at the W Maldives earlier this month. From the time our flight landed in Male, the W exceeded our every expectation. We were greeted at the airport very early, bags were taken care of, we were driven to the seaplane terminal, taken to a beautiful lounge, every detail of the stay was reviewed and then boarded our flight to the hotel. We planned to elope and the hotel staff took care of everything beyond anything we expected. The restaurants, SIP in particular, was amazing for sushi and happy hour cocktails. The beaches were spectacular, pool and all staff were there for anything we needed. Like anywhere in the Maldives, food, drinks and activities are expensive but expected. Snorkeling around the island was like diving in an aquarium. Will plan to return in the future. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for exceeding every expectation.

W Maldives is a special hotel. It is a perfect blend of high service standards without feeling robotic and scripted, unique design, and the most spectacular house reef in the Maldives. Unforgettable memories of snorkelling with sharks and turtles every day just outside our villa. All the dining venues are excellent, but our favourite was the sushi bar at SIP, while watching pink and orange sunsets every evening. This was our sixth stay at W Maldives, and we are currently rebooking for a seventh. Very special thank you to Honda and the team at Kitchen. Lonsi, and the team at Wet. From the moment we landed in the Maldives, W Maldives set a new benchmark for what luxury hospitality should be. We were personally greeted at the airport and guided straight through to the seaplane terminal, where we were taken into a private lounge before boarding. Every step felt smooth, considered, and well executed. Upon arrival, being welcomed by the management team immediately set the tone—this wasn’t just another stay, this was the W experience at its best. We were then introduced to Callisa, who looked after us throughout our stay and was exceptional. Attentive, genuine, and always one step ahead—she made everything feel effortless. What truly sets W Maldives apart is its people. Every single person we interacted with made us feel genuinely welcome—like we were coming home to family. Amila, Christian, Nich, Coacha, Chef Bakaa, Ben, Shane, Sajeewa, Mani, Dilya, Dmd Darshana, Dream, Jem, Anees, Abdulla, Niutro, Robert, Maaniu, Ahmed, Aroo, Afrah, Aqua Man, Shakil, Aidh, Shabaab, Lakshan, Silva, Shian, Ajith, Harald, Arabella, and Ineetan—each of you contributed to something truly memorable. Meeting Chef Bakaa on our first day set the tone for the dining experience. He took the time to sit down with us, understand our allergies and preferences, and then went far beyond that—creating completely tailored, one-off dishes based on our palate. Meals weren’t just prepared; they were designed specifically for us, and that level of detail is exceptionally rare. We travel often and make a point of immersing ourselves in the W experience wherever we go, so we understand the standard. What this team delivered went beyond that. From organising offshore excursions to coordinating every detail of our stay, everything was handled with a level of precision and care that elevated the entire trip. Spending time with the team, including Nich, only reinforced what makes W different—the culture, the energy, and the people behind the brand. It’s something you don’t just see, you feel. From the airport to the island and back again, not a single detail was missed. And on a five-day luxury stay with this many moving parts, that is no small feat. The island is stunning, but the experience is defined by the people behind it. The service, the energy, the culture—it all came together perfectly. Our stay was absolutely faultless. We’re incredibly grateful for the experience and the connections we made. We’ll absolutely be returning—and continuing to explore the W experience around the world.

My partner and I had the most wonderful stay celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the level of hospitality was truly exceptional—every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made our stay feel incredibly special. A very special thank you to Callisa, who hosted us throughout our entire stay. She went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. Even when we requested something that wasn’t immediately available on the island, she thoughtfully arranged for it to be brought from the main island the very next day. Her attentiveness and care made our experience feel truly personal. Our room was beautiful and perfectly appointed, offering both comfort and tranquility. Many of our favorite memories were created at Sip, Fish, and The Kitchen—each offering fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, and moments we will always remember. We are deeply grateful to Callisa and the entire team for creating such a memorable and meaningful experience for us. We very much look forward to returning again in the future.

A very relaxing trip from the other side of the world. It was full rest and relaxation. Beautiful property and recently renovated rooms. Our concierge Calissa was prompt and had everyitng planned for us which we loved. With the best onsite reef, we snorkeled twice every day and saw such nice reef and a variety of fish, turtles, manta ray and sharks. We slept so good. Sunrise yoga with Arti was so peaceful and sunset drinks at the SIP with warm personal service from Dilya were amazing. Food is good. But the staff was the highlight of the trip. Mind you I am the “leave me alone” kind of guy but their warmth and hospitality was so enjoyable. Gem greeted us everyday at the breakfast and knew what we liked and where we wanted to sit. Dinner was best at FISH : We really enjoyed the catch of the day fish grilled as suggested by manager Kamlesh who went above and beyond and treated us like royalties. Overall I can’t wait to come back in a few years to enjoy this paradise again.

We made a 25th Anniversary trip to W Maldives and this was the best decision I made! From the surprise bed decoration to the Gaatafushi island private sunset dinner, the resort and staff made it a lifetime of memories. And the reef was truly outstanding....best we have seen! Too many people to thank but Callissa and Kamlesh were the best. Thank you!

The hardware is impeccable with unreal house coral reefs, beautiful beach, well equipped gym, nice restaurants with delicious food. Over water villa is tidy and clean with great balcony and ocean access. Yoy can literally see sting rays. Sharks and sea turtles by simply jumping off ur villa. Unfortunately the soft ware is very disjointed and the service is very passive. Dont get me wrong, you will get everything you want, but you have to fight and ask. For example, the staff wont offer you water, drink or snacks when you come back from the beach. You will also have to fight, negotiate and bargain for any anniversary or birthday benefits, all for a little chocolate, a little decoration on your bed and a floating breakfast, all of which will be provided proactively without asking by any other luxury resort in Maldives. And when they do offer you those benefits, you will have to remind them when you want them, which if you don't, the staff will just let it pass. The butler also have no communication with the cleaning department, so when you go out for breakfast and spa and come back after 4 hours, the room might still be dirty. Also even if you have booked a restaurant weeks in advance by your travel agent and the restaurant reservation is confirmed by the hotel, The restaurant might still doesnt have your booking and bounce you right out and have you wait for 15 minutes at a bar outside. Which is a terrible experience in front of a date. All in all. The hardware is excellent, but the service is subpar, particular in comparison with other luxury resort in maldives like clubmed or anatara. Concerning this price point, it is very unlikely i would revisit or recommend W maldives to any one.
