W Maldives

It’s a perfect place to spend the holiday. The island is beautiful. My 9-year-old daughter love snorkeling here. So many marine lives here. Service here is perfect too. Every staff is friendly and helpful ,especially Shane and Callisa，they are nice , professional and mostly helpful. Food here is also better than good. Asia buffet is especially good. We’ll definitely be back here again.

Myself and my wife had the most amazing time at the W Maldives. After reading various reviews and although an expensive choice, I'm so glad we chose this island for our Maldavian experience. We are both keen Naturalists and the reef here didn't disappoint. As you will see from the footage I've captured the variety of fish and animals is fantastic. Being a fully natural island we decided to stay in an 'Escape' beach villa which was surrounded by beautiful Coconut palms and various other Flora. It was also right nxt to the amazing beach and reef for easy access. All of this is looked after and kept immaculate by the hard working staff on the island. Which brings me to another huge reason to choose this resort.. .. . The staff. There is a great sense of teamwork with the staff who all seem happy in what they do. They could not be any more helpful and accommodating without being intrusive. I had lots of great chats with various waiters etc about the islands and where they were from etc. Although expensive the food and drink here was out of this world..... so many choices and all of high quality at the various restaurants. It's worth investing in at least half board in my opinion as separate food purchases are certainly pricey. When you consider the size of the island and getting all these foods/drinks on/off the island you can understand where a lot of the cost comes from. It was worth the money for a 'True' paradise experience. Thankyou so much to all the staff for making our stay so memorable. Hope to be back again in the not so distant future!! X❤️🙂

The W Maldives is truly extraordinary. The resort is stunningly beautiful, blending modern luxury with a perfect tropical vibe. A few highlights from our stay: The Staff: Fantastic and genuinely friendly. They made us feel welcome from start to finish. The Food: Every meal was wonderful with a great variety of flavors. The Snorkeling: Hands down, some of the best I have ever done. The house reef is world-class and teeming with life just steps from the villa. Overall, an outstanding experience. If you want the perfect Maldivian getaway, this is it!

Words cannot express how spectacular our tropical holiday at the W Maldives has been. The resort sits upon its own private island in the North Ari Atoll with a fabulous house reef circling the island where we could jump into the aqua waters from almost anywhere on the island and glide past colorful reefs, iridescent fishes, turtles, and even sharks. Ben and his staff at the Dive Shop along with the W lifeguard, Shaalim, constantly provided us sage advice about the best times and locations for pristine snorkeling. The dining experience across the different restaurants and bars was impeccable. The Kitchen and Wet Bar plied us daily with delectable breakfasts and lunches and tasty libations. For dinner, FISH offered the freshest of fresh seafood served by the amazingly warm and attentive manager, Kamlesh, and lovingly cooked by Chefs Bakaa and Vivek. Upon mentioning I loved Goa coconut prawns to W Executive Chef Karan (who hails from India), he personally whipped it up for me even though it wasn’t on the menu!! SIP was the perfect place to watch the sunset and drink a martini or two. Mani and Lahkan catered to our every whim like procuring my husband’s favorite martini each day or running around to different food outlets to source exactly what we wanted to eat that evening. I think they just wanted us to hang out with them some more and keep them entertained with my husband’s jokes! :-) Our over the water villa was beautifully appointed with an expansive deck and private pool. We spent hours watching the multi-colored waves, the reef, soaring birds, passing boats, and seaplanes gliding to a perfect sea landing from our lounge chairs. Housekeeping was flawless with special touches like Valentine’s Day rose petals on the bed and a rose bubble bath. Much appreciation to these “hidden” Talents who were un-obbtrusively making our stay perfect. W Maldives service is sublime. Playful, polished, and flawlessly executed. Indeed, Whatever/Whenever and more! Special thanks to Saito who was like our personal concierge and our new best friend who made sure every detail of the stay was perfect. Thank you to all the other W Maldives Talents not mentioned by name for our perfect and exquisite experience. Kudos to the General Manager, Amila Hundunwala, for creating a culture where every Talent loves to delight the guests at the W Maldives.

Lovely Hotel But High yet not top end and charges for almost everything amongst the highest in the maldives This is our 5th time in the Maldives. Staying at a range of upper mid and high end resorts The hotel is lovely and was recently renovated. It has a great house reef and the staff are fabulous. However although lovely it is not by any means at the top end of the Maldives resorts. Four Seasons, Soneva, Six Senses, Joali, Nautilus, Niyama, Kudadoo, St Regis and Cheval Blanc occupy that position. Those stating that this is the best resort in the Maldives clearly need to travel more. However somewhat disappointingly although accommodation is not outrageously priced almost everything at W Maldives is ridiculously over priced in my view. Often more than the top end resorts above. Normal Angus fillet steak $127 (inc tax) no sides included. Basic Cocktails $36 each (inc tax) Cheapest Prosecco $127 (inc tax) Cheapest Wine (Pinot Grigio) $101 (inc tax) Like most of us what irritates me is bad value or price gouging. Sadly W Maldives excels in this. As part of the Marriott chain I suspect W Maldives prices are set at corporate level. Perhaps a reason to avoid big corporate chains in future? In my view there is better value to be had elsewhere Unsurprisingly the restaurants and bars are relatively quiet.

Our stay at the W Hotel was nothing short of perfection. From the unbeatable location to the stunning ambience, every detail was thoughtfully curated. The hotel is impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and truly festive with an incredible atmosphere that makes every moment feel special. The food was delicious, entertainment was exceptional, and the New Year’s Eve celebration was simply unforgettable. What truly sets W Hotel apart is the outstanding team — the staff and managers are warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, making you feel valued from the moment you arrive. Very clean, big room and layout was nice Facing the water and SIP. We swam every morning from our room to go snorkeling. Nope It's nice, the staff was extermely helpful. Smooth check in and check out. We even had the help of a lady name Aisha at the Male airport when we were checking out. My gf left her phone on the seaplane. Aisha helped coordinate with her team, and luckily I had another friend who was visiting Maldives, he met with Aisha and picked up the phone. Thank you Aisha!

The highlight is the friendliness of the staff, always attentive and ready to help. Adding to the good food and amazing atmosphere
