For what we needed, it was sufficient. Lots of holes in the walls, not all of the lights worked, but the price was very good. The location was not far from the airport, but it looked like it was in a rough side of town. The staff was fantastic.

The location is super convenient to the airport and as a pied-a-terre for day trips outside the "big city". The property is very safe with 24 hr controlled access. Clean and spacious with comfortable beds, lots of pillows and a big bathroom. We booked a massage, transportation and a beautiful tour of San Jose through the front desk staff who were all friendly, accommodating and are bilingual making arrangements smooth. The included breakfast is amazing and is more than enough to keep you until dinnertime (meaning 2 meals a day rather than 3!). I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Not the hotels' fault, but be aware that paper products are not like in North America. Toilet paper is 1 ply, and signs everywhere ask that you NOT flush it??? Kleenex is not a thing and paper towels are rare. There is not too much around this hotel as even a convenience store is about a 10-15 minute walk, however we took advantage of the many options for tours and day trips from there - pickup is arranged from the hotel!

Excellent experience! Ive stayed all over Costa Rica and have found the service only just acceptable. However, Laura, at the front desk was very helpful and nice. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the dtay includwd a decent breakfasy from staff with a smile on their faces! The only minor downside was the location, being a ways away from anyrhing worth visiting. I would stay here again without hesitation!
