SpringHill Suites by Marriott Birmingham Downtown at UAB

On an emergency trip last minute I loved the location only a block away from the hospital (UAB) it was totally perfect for one day. Breakfast was awesome lots of variety too choose from.

Didn’t like when I opened Microwave there was a plate of food left in the microwave from a previous stay that was the first sign thinking had the room been cleaned l left a note and a tip for EVS letting them know. Maybe add some black out curtains sunlight was extra bright when trying to get rest.

I like the breakfast , the location of the hotel .

My room wasn’t cleaned every day . I saw trash every day in my room . I had to go to the front desk twice to tell them to give me more towels and to clean the room . There was a day that it seemed like they cleaned half way , leaving their clean product by the mirror and not doing the bed.

Cleanliness and parking was good.

Check-in seemed to be a bother to the lady checking us in. Internet was out. Tv worked for about an hour and then nothing but their ads. Hot water increased in heat until painful on its own. Just not what we are used to for the price paid.

Have frequented this hotel often with family and my service pet. Today, the manager told me he couldn’t let me in with my service pet. Further insulting was the fact that he (Black tall stocky supervisor) had the audacity to ask me what service does the animal provide. ADA discrimination and lack of accommodation. Do not recommend staying here!!!
