Candlewood Suites Elgin – Northwest Chicago by IHG

I really like staying at Candlewood Suites, regardless of location, because the stay is consistently a good experience.

The ability to cook our own food. Large refrigerator and microwave.

No area to visit with family or chairs/table in the room to rest a meal. Need to have a table and 4 chairs

I was very happy with the room, appreciated the little things like ice in the freezer, the floor was quiet, and the gal at the check in desk was very nice.

Some construction going on, was understandable. We would not have stayed here if we knew it was pet friendly. TV was on the small side.

The hotel was under construction, but I was not aware of this when I made the reservation. While it was not horrible, there were things that did not meet my expectations (eg, tub condition) that I wish I would have been able to anticipate. They should make it clear that the construction is going on before accepting reservations.
