Hillside Boutique Hotel

The room we had was great, with tiled floors, tiled shower, complimentary robes and a balcony, making for a comfy stay. (We paid for the king suite upgrade.) Our view was a bit less than we hoped, overlooking the back parking lot under construction but if they put in some more landscaping around that, will be ok in the future. The long view was good. The pool is very nice. Even the restaurant, which we might have skipped because we tend to look for more adventurous menus being foodies, was quite nice. Good atmosphere, service and salads. This was a respite from work weekend for us away from the busy city, and the Hillside accomodated. Only real downside here, whenever this place was built -- back in the day, owners wanted it to be roadside motel, so yo do hear some highway noise.

We stayed Hillside over Easter Weekend. It was a cool and quiet weekend. We didn’t have the opportunity to use the pool but did still enjoy our time there. The staff were pleasant and the restaurant/bar was great!

Beautiful setting and gorgeous views. Nice landscaping and large comfortable rooms/beds. The staff is so friendly. Very much enjoyed our stay here and the refreshing pool. Good location off 90 W and close to great barbecue and Juliana’s restaurant at the golf course. Also the onsite restaurant is beautiful and has a nice happy hour.

I got in late and Jenny was so accomodating trying to find me snacks after the restraunt closed. Thank you Jenny, I hope you get that boot off soon! The next night I went to the Barrel Room and had the most outstanding veggie plate with salmon on top. It was a lot of food and I ate it all and rolled back to my room. I had a large room with a really nice patio and an amazing view of beautiful Castroville (about 25 minutes from San Antonio) I will definately be back! Thanks Pete!!

Such a cute boutique hotel. The staff accommodated my request for a quieter room since I would be working from the hotel. Very pet friendly, my pup loves the balcony attached to the room. The Barrel Room had a great happy hour and the patio accommodated my pup. We enjoyed the spa as a Mother’s Day treat. All staff were very pleasant and wonderful.
