Cinnamon Beach Villas

This hotel is very serene, queit and isolated. Mostly positives with some negatives. Positives: Spacious rooms Excellent set breakfast Location is beautiful on the water in a jungle type setting. Beautiful full ocean view from balcony The grounds are beautiful with nice landscaping Negatives: Small safe which is useless for laptops. No actual beach directly in front of the hotel. Tough, huge pillows that for me were not good for sleep. The pillows are hard like laying your head on a rock. Rooms need some updating The hotel is very isolated, at least a twenty minute walk to the main road where there is a Family Mart. For me the hotel was too isolated. The biggest issue with the hotel is the mosquitos, they are everywhere. In the room, balcony, at the front of your door, the lobby, the breakfast area, you get the point. I was bit like crazy. Based on this alone I wouldn’t stay at the hotel again. But my blood/skin tends to attract mosquitos and bugs, so perhaps it wouldn’t be an issue for the next person. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay minus the isolated location and mosquitos.

A little away from the hustle and bustle of central Koh Samui, Cinnamon Beach Villa Resort is a perfect place if you like to stay in a quiet place and around lots of trees and an exquisite sea view from the room. It’s not a big establishment, but has a three-story building with sea view rooms and several cottages situated on steps of the hill. Restaurant and swimming pool are just adjacent to the sea and you have to walk 30 plus steps to go down and again the same number of steps to go up if you stay in the building. Cottages are along with steps. The rooms where we stayed were spacious enough with everything you need, including electric cattle and tea/coffee, two bottles of water per day, and the bathroom is quite spacious and has everything you need. The best thing is probably a nice balcony with two chairs and a table and sitting there looking at the sea you can relax. In fact, the sea can be viewed from bed as well. Breakfast comes with room and you have to choose one from the set menu – it’s not a buffet. Don’t worry, you get plenty whatever option you choose. Restaurant menu has limited options but basically all that you want from vegetables to fish to poultry, and of course soups at a very reasonable price. We stayed three nights and had our dinner every night at that restaurant. Shops are a little away from the resort and so, you have to count that, especially for drinking water which is also available at the resort but at a higher price. About four minutes’ walk away, there is a building with several shops including a spa, but we didn’t see those open during our stay. So, Family Mart, about eight/ten minutes’ walk for you to buy essentials other than water, if you need. What sand Lamai beach, fresh market, and night market are about three kilometers from the resort. Taxis are available, but expensive as their minimum charge is 200 baht. For a longer stay prefer renting a scotty/motorcycle and for a bigger family you may rent a car. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant are polite, always smiling, and helpful. Front desk staff helped us to take a day-long package to Ang Thong National Marine Park and ferry tickets to Koh Phangan. Finally, this is probably one of the best reasonably priced resorts for spending quiet time and for taking rest.

Cet hôtel offre une prestation correcte mais attention la qualité baisse un peu ( nous y sommes allés il y a 4 et 3 ans ) . Pas beaucoup de débit d’eau dans la douche et lavabo, petit déjeuner vraiment simple. L’eau de la piscine n’était pas très claire .... Par contre le personnel est top niveau 👍 Scooter obligatoire pour ce déplacer.

Cinnamon villas are set in a beautiful location, overlooking the ocean. The pool is lovely and the beach is swimmable at high tide. The staff are extremely friendly & helpful. The rooms are spacious & comfortable with great views over the ocean. Breakfast is simple but good- theyll serve bacon & eggs if requested. Cinnamon is away from the main road and a fair distance from Lamai beach. Youll need transport to get around. There are no grocery stores close by. The hotel will help arrange taxis into Lamai beach for 200 baht one way.

A bit out of the way of the main area but such a lovely place and a minute walk down to the beach. Lovely beach bar and sraff are so friendly.

Hotel is set back by the beach and is not suitable for disabled people or people with pushchairs due to the steps and remoteness. We are reasonably fit and hired a scooter from the hotel so not a real problem. Hotels very nice, rooms typical Thai style , a little old but all the same good. Staff a very nice and helpful. Breakfast is good and waitress that serves is lovely. Views from balcony if you have a sea view are to die for. Pool is small and not enough beds. The sea and beachfront is perfect for children. It sits in a sand bank and never goes above waist height, very clear and soft sand

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and we love it. Excellent, clean room. Always friendly snd helpful staff. Amazing views with a well tended garden and beautiful birdlife. The food is excellent, and it's proximity to Lamai is very convenient. I would highly recommended Cinnamon Beach Villas to anyone. Thank you to the staff here forva wonderful stay. :-)

Staff were great and very helpful! Our room was lovely and spacious, we booked the penthouse suite A4. Views were spectacular from the balcony and reception. Would recommend hiring a moped or car whilst staying here (the hotel offers this service). Thank you for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend this hotel to others who are looking to stay in Koh Samui!

Property is not like the Photos on site , Pictures over ten years old , also building working going in , but not told before travelling . New owner , staff where very nice and helpful , but don't make up for the fact it's not has shown on site , very dirty , Aircon was so our of date just didn't work , and our room was 34c second morning. So we checked out, hopefully getting our refund . Should only be 1star rating , we paid £97 per night , never worth it , perhaps £40 . Location excellent , but clearly no one checking standard of cleaning being done , our rain shower dripped not rained , blocked. , Shower screen not been cleaned for months , and when we moved the long curtains , it's was filthy behind them , also they never mentioned if you have slight mobility problem you would not be able to use beach or pool or lower bar or bungalows . All in all a very big over sell and fib .
