"Nice hotel, amazing sunset"

8.0

Good places to stay in Koh Samui with amazing view on the sunset at the end of the day. The hotel location is perfect if you want too escape the two too busiest beach close by. Best option is to rent of motorbike at the hotel too move easily in the island, Staff is really nice and helpfull. There is still some construction in the hotel so be prepare to have so noise during the day Also on the beach just next to the swimming pool you have a couples of other restaurants directly accessible from the beachside

"Quiet End of the Bay ..."

10.0

Great stay at Cinnamon. Was in a quiet and out of the way location at the end of Lamai Bay. We were a little worried at first that it was too far from everything but walking the beach to Lamai was easy, but don't leave the walk back too late or the tide will have come in and you will get wet !! Loved our upgrade to beachfront villa and the staff and management were extremely helpful. Breakfast was basic but sufficient with fresh cooked eggs & omelettes to your liking. I wouldn't recommend to those who have mobility issues as the resort is on a steep hill with steps to most villas and restaurant. Pool was located on beach level and clean. Rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade but the bed was comfy and the bathroom and room was spacious. This end of the bay does spend most of the day with the tide out so don't expect to swim in front of the hotel. There was plenty of restaurants along the beach and close by also a great little local massage hut next door, the ladies there were lovely and did a great job. We did love our stay here, don't expect a big resort feel as it is a small hotel but if you are after a nice quiet and intimate stay then give them a go. Easy car hire too delivered to your door and the manager helped with all arrangements that we needed to do some tours and hire the car etc.

"Serenity."

10.0

This is a beautiful place for couples...positioned on a peninsular overlooking Lamai beach...the view is spectacular. Set into the side of a hill, all rooms are large and have big balconies with water/bay views . It is quiet and secluded yet only a short taxi ride into all the action , The manager Mr. Sawat and staff were terrific and could not have been more helpful.

"Has seen better days"

6.0

This place has its good and bad points. Quick summary is it’s quite secluded if you don’t have your own transport and it’s getting a bit old and run down. We arrived around 5pm after a day of traveling around the island and having moved across from Fisherman’s Village, and we were unfortunately disappointed. We were one couple and then my two adult sisters so we had twin room Deluxe Seaview on the ground floor and our double Premier Seaview On the third/top floor. First thing we noticed were water damaged floors at entry and balcony doors and rooms were looking tired. The premier bathroom with tub was quite a disappointment, with blocked drain and hard to get in and out with the big ledge next to it and water poured everywhere from the shower over bath. We wandered down to check out the pool and beach (yep the stair are quite deep so it’s a work out to step up and down each) and and were sad to discover the massage and pool bar looked abandoned (didn’t see any action here in our 3 days) and the beach is quite dirty. There was also construction next door, and planes flying directly overhead. Also at night the outside light was shiny around the blind on the window over the door into the room all night and the aircon was inadequate (couldn’t ever get it cold enough) and noisy snap and crackles early in the morning. The staff seemed lovely but all had very little English, way more so at any other place we stayed. We’re pretty good with traveling through Asia and communicating with locals but other than the manager there was little English at all here, including no English books in the library -and again you’re far enough away from things to then be stuck. Definitely better equipped for Europeans, and there were a number of young couple staying who seemed happy enough to lay by the small pool, hire a scooter (although the steep road in put is odd that idea), visit the little beach bar (not great cocktails, fine for beer, and didn’t eat there but seemed to have a readable selection of local dishes and reasonable prices) and hang out and stare at the view. The view from the rooms are lovely. But for us it was too far from anything. we did enjoy Uncle Rang’s, the restaurant that was just along the beach to the right, where we ate two nights and the staff were very friendly and the food and cocktails were great. Yes you can walk to Lamai, at low tide, around the rocks to the right but it’s a hot walk and took us about an hour to reach the strip of beach restaurants where you can get a sunbed and towel if you buy food/drinks there, and you can swim in the ocean up that end of the beach (way too shallow in front of cinnamon). We booked and paid for 4 nights but forfeited the last night and returned to fisherman’s village where we could just step out of our accommodation and straight to restaurants, shops, indoor air conned massage parlors and minimarts. When we booked we thought we had got an amazing discount via hotels.com at a big discount rate compared to their website prices, and the online photos looked lovely and reviews sounded good. However I’d say it’s a good place to stay at the price we paid if you are just looking to chill out but if it’s well more run down than the photos show and I wouldn’t want to be paying full price.

"Wspaniały pobyt"

10.0

I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to rest. A place in the comfort of wonderful, well-kept greenery, lots of flowers, very clean. Tasty breakfasts every morning and a nice pool. A room with an amazing view of the sea. Lamai Center about 30 minutes walk by the beach. On-site scooter rental, so you can explore the island.

"Sérénité absolue dans un cadre idyllique. "
