Hotel Kallisto

A relaxing stay on a crowded island IS possible at this wonderful hotel. Incredible views, spacious room, perfectly situated, walking distance from Firostefani and Fira. The staff are so kind and helpful and the owner was a joy to chat with - made our stay very enjoyable.

Fantastic room with an out of this word view and an extremely friendly staff. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay a couple of days in Santorini.

Lovely small hotel with a real homely feel, but by far the best part is the stunning views over the caldera! The staff were so friendly and inviting, the breakfasts were delicious and the rooms were fresh and serviced every day. We had a great time!

Lovely, efficient and communicative team from the reception to the lady and gentleman taking care of breakfast every morning. I stayed in October for 2 nights. I booked the Junior Maisonette with Sea View & Caldera View. The bedroom has a nicely-laid out bunk above the kitchen. It's a steep wooden ladder to climb up the bedroom, be aware if you are booking. The only thing that marred my stay was an odor coming from the toilet. It smelled of disinfectant mixed with chlorine. It never went away and had to keep the bathroom window open and only closed it at bedtime. Everything else was wonderful, especially the people.

Very courteous and polite staff. They made sure that we were comfortable in every way. Good breakfast! Best views!

Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. I will cover the good and the bad below with our experience. Pros: Great views - really high up, so can see a lot! Good breakfast - cooked each day! (note: it is limited hours and may or may not be ready when you request it as we ask for it by 8:15, and it was not ready until 8:30) The staff was overall very kind. The rooms were clean. Cons: We didn't have hot water for our stay. Told the staff on the day we arrived, then again the next day, as well as the following day. They said they ordered a part, but I am skeptical as their team knew how to fix it. They also tried to tell us upon checkout that if we had told them day 1 we could have changed rooms - which we did. The hotel was not full either. Did give a small discount back due to issue, but honestly unacceptable for a 4* hotel. Apologies only go so far without hot water. The hotel is hard to find. There are not additional signs other than the entrance sign. We called 3 times with no answer. No one was at the desk when we arrived, and had to find someone to help to check-in. They staff with a few people doing multiple jobs. The bedroom was a loft with wooden stairs and a low ceiling. Not necessarily an issue, but be aware if you are tall (I could only stand in the middle at 5'7". Lastly, the door to the shower did not close resulting in a very wet bathroom with each cold shower. Again, not a huge issue, but something that could easily be fixed.

Pour la vue c’est vraiment un 10/10! Vue imprenable sur la caldeira. La piscine et le site est très bien. Les points à améliorer sont le petit déjeuner; il est bon mais même chose tout les jours (œufs brouillés, pain, petit gâteau et fruits)…. À environ 400$ la nuit je m’attendais à plus et surtout que l’on offre différentes choses. La chambre est jolie mais je n’ai pas eu d’eau chaude sur mes 4 nuits; le soir c’est frais à Santorini alors prendre sa douche à l’eau froide c’est moyen….aussi dans ma chambre (#8) il y avait très peu d’espace pour se rendre à la toilette (si vous êtes obèse vous aurez du mal à y aller (vraiment). J’avais aussi fait une demande spéciale pour avoir mon déjeuner à 8:00 au lieu de 8:15 (heure de debut) puisque j’avais une excursion prévue très tôt. La réponse fut non ….. par contre je dois dire qu’à 8:15 pile j’ai reçu mon déjeuner. Donc en résumé, très belle place et la vue est spectaculaire mais pour une chambre à 400$ canadien la nuit ça aurait être pu beaucoup mieux. Je suppose que le prix est basé sur la belle vue ….autres choses de pertinentes à imerovigli il n’y a probablement qu’un seul resto à des prix ok, donc si vous êtes sur un budget peut être pas la meilleure ville. De l’hotel on ne voit pas le coucher de soleil mais à quelques minutes à pieds on peut trouver facilement un beau point de vue.

Great location, friendly helpful staff, cute room. Bed was squeaky and needs a new mattress tho! Good breakfast at room or on terrace.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Kallisto last minute after we had to extend our stay on Santorini because of an accident. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had some issues with the AC in our unit but they eventually got it fixed. The room was big enough for the both of us. The property is cool as they have a good sized pool and deck that over looks the caldera. I would recommend this hotel for people traveling in large groups like with multiple family members or friends because of the big common area around the pool

I will strongly recommend this hotel.
