Alcaufar Vell Hotel Rural & Restaurant

I hadn't expected this hotel to be as nice as it was for some reason. It is "rustic" but polished, beautifully presented, smart and laidback. The room was a decent size with a lovely little garden/patio area. The grounds of the hotel were immaculately kept, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the pool area was very pretty. Worth visiting for the food in the restaurant alone. Must be one of the top ten restaurants in Menorca easily.

The villa is an extraordinary property converted to a charming hotel. The restaurant on site was excellent and the room was beautiful with a king sized bed. Each room has its own patio/garden and the pool area is very comfortable. There were many amenities included such as cold drinks, large pool towels, breakfast and a wonderful coffee machine in The room. The staff was very informative and helpful and we were able to hike the property down to the sea. Bikes are available to rent or use and there are many garden areas to enjoy. I would absolutely return. April was perfect with few tourists and outstanding weather.

A wonderful retreat in the Menorcan countryside that was a calm and peaceful place to stay. Staff are very attentive and always on hand to answer questions or give directions. We had a very relaxing time staying here and would highly recommend it to another couple.

Charming country hotel in a very peaceful and rural part of Menorca. Staff were excellent, Rosa took great care of us and made us feel very welcome. You do need a car but the larger towns of Mahon and Saint Lluis are close by. Menorca has a shorter season than Majorca, so in late October many of the restaurants in Mahon were closed.

Excellent hotel. Gourmet food. Location some distance local village. Good outdoor spaces and directions for walks, cycle rides etc available. Towels can be taken to beach which is very helpful.

Quiet, nice food,but cheap shabby furnishings only acceptable for half the rate. Double rooms are on the top floor with tiny windows, we had to upgrade to move. Good breakfast, mostly lovely staff.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in if you are looking for a quiet retreat.Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is rural so a car is a must. Otherwise take a book or two and chill by the pool (you wont be disturbed). Stayed in a Junior Suite away from the house which was perfect and very private. Also, loved watching the tortoise wondering around!

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Cuisine was OK but could be more inventive and some changes during a stay of a week or so are a must. Score 9/10
