Gabriel House Guesthouse

Beautiful grand old house with fabulous staircase. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the whole place is spotlessly clean. The location is great with only a short 15min walk to the main centre for cafes and restaurants. Be prepared for the hill back up though haha!

Although our beds were very comfortable we were a little cramped being 3 adults in 1 room with quite a lot of luggage. It was also very hot, but a fan was provided. It should be noted there is no lift so if you have heavy bags it will be a challenge. The carpark is also a tight squeeze and again there are no ramps for luggage. Small points to note but we feel they should be pointed out more clearly in the description.

Location wasn't bad, maybe 10 - 15 mins walk to most attractions. It was quiet and the room was clean.

I wouldn't really call this a 'Guesthouse', compared to other 'Guesthouses' we stayed in (Dublin). Breakfast was not included, there was no public sitting area and no complementary tea, coffee, water, etc. The photos are a bit misleading...the first room we were given was small, had a water stain on the ceiling and a 2 inch gap under the door. It was a very basic room, with an open wardrobe and beds. We asked for another room, which was better but not by much. The bathroom was so small you couldn't open the door all the way because it was hitting the sink and one of the curtain rod hooks was pulling from the wall. It was a very sterile room, no pictures on the walls, no throw pillows on the beds (as seen in the pictures). This hotel was good enough for a 1 night stay.

It was a very comfortable room. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We arrived early and the staff worked hard so we could check in early. Valerie was very knowledgeable with all our questions from eating establishments to riding the train to Cobh.

The entrance to the parking lot was a challenge to navigate.

Vraiment très déçue par mon séjour dans votre établissement. Après avoir consulté votre site, nous avions réservé une chambre double et on nous a attribué une chambre pour 4 personnes sous les combles où plutôt un dortoir sinistre pas d’espace pour poser nos valises,un vélux défectueux pour fenêtre. Dans le réduit salle de bain un lavabo de 40cm aucune étagère pour y déposer notre nécessaire de toilettes. Dans la douche une étagère qui pendouillait pas fixé sur le mur et pour clôturer le tout une odeur bien désagréable qui émanait de la couette Vraiment rien voir avec les photos sur votre site. Prix payé 211€

Sehr hübsches Hotel mit feinem und liebevollem Frühstück. Große und bequeme Betten. Wunderschöne Gartenanlage. Sehr lieber Service. Wir durften mit unserem Hund auf der Terrasse frühstücken.

Kleiner Nachteil: wohin beim Frühstück im Winter mit Hund? Ein winziger Nebenraum wäre hierfür toll. Parkplatz schnell überbelegt und nicht reservierbar.

The property is beautiful and conveniently located near Kent Station. It has a garden with a view of the harbor. Our room had plenty of space and the bathroom was large. Everything was very well equipped with tea keattle, coffee, tea, hair dryer. There is a breakfast buffet with a variety of options, but also a la carte options for different kinds of eggs and sandwiches, do not skip breakfast! Too bad we only stayed for one night and we only got to enjoy it once :)

Everything was great :) Be mindful if you have accesibility issues, since the property does not have an elevator.
