I think there could have been an honest disclosure about the construction work. I had seen photos of the inn pre-refurbishment work and the porch was one of the reasons I wanted to stay there, so it was a disappoointment to find a building lot. If my expectations had been set ahead of time, it would have been better. That said, the rest of the stay was fine. I appreciated the efforts to make us feel welcome, the room was comfortable and the location good.

It is a beautiful place, and there is a truly lovely, comfortable parlor room to hang out in, with ice tea, and afternoon homemade cookies. They had beach chairs, beach towels, and bikes to borrow, and the staff were all very friendly. There is also a nice outdoor garden, surrounded by jasmin, with comfortable furniture. The location was absolutely perfect for walking everywhere, until you want to visit other islands.

The only reason the rating isn't higher is because the supporting posts of the house were being replaced, and the whole front was off limits. No veranda sitting. And the extent of the repairs left me feeling slightly uneasy about safety. I feel guests should be notified when this is the case so that they can make an informed decision.

The location was perfect for biking and walking to the quaint downtown. We were in the cottage and loved it. Breakfast in the adorable dining room was great. Will be back.

Unfortunately, no fault of theirs, the front of property was under construction so we were not able to enjoy the porch.
