Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform Sonder The Wellesley in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. A damage deposit of CAD 400 is required. The host charges this 7 days before arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. After confirmation, Sonder will reach out to guests through a secure link to gather some information regarding their stay. Sonder may require the guest to provide a photo of their government issued photo ID. Guests will receive check in details from property management three days prior to arrival. Please note the layout, furniture, and decor of your space may vary from these photos. There is no cable. There are stairs leading up to the front entrance and there is no elevator. You may hear construction noise from renovations nearby. A white noise machine and earplugs are available upon request. The Small Double Room is a basement level unit. Sonder offers all guests the ability to book housekeeping services on demand for a nominal fee. This ensures you can enjoy an uninterrupted and environmentally sustainable stay. Housekeeping services must be scheduled via the Sonder app, 24 hours in advance.

"Excellent"

Check in and using my phone as a key was easier than I expected. Room was clean and tidy. Right across street from subway-nice! But I was in the basement room and would hear the trains underground while trying to sleep. Typical urban noise issue but not hideous. I will go there again.

I really enjoyed my stay. I was a little hesitant because of the other reviews but I’m glad i kept the reservation. The room was nice and clean modern and Everything i needed for my stay. The communication with the property management was really good anything i needed they were on top of it. I had one issue with the noise coming from another room that’s it.

Take note: a room with no window = a basement room that’s running next to a subway line. Earplugs are not going to help at all! This room was worn and tired. It’s at a hostel level trying to be a new concept staff free hotel.

This property was okay. It did its job. It could have been more throughly cleaned (rug, wall, shower floor) and the room was quite cold but I’ve absolutely seen worse places. It’s good for a short stay.

This is a budget hotel that presents itself as boutique. There IS NO elevator. That wasn't so clear. No hooks in bathroom. I found little bugs in my suitcase, in my travel soap dish. No black out curtains. Would have rather stayed at budget hotel for fridge and closet. Bed was uncomfortable. I could see dust along the floor boards. Definitely DO NOT recommend!

"Sonder review"

Overall, an okay experience. The room we stayed in was clean and updated (renovated). Just a very weird layout. The shower is directly in line with the entrance to the room, and the toilet isn’t even private. This room is definitely made for one person or couples.
