Decameron Panaca - All Inclusive

Do not stay here - building 4 is a nightmare given its proximity to the electrical and water treatment plant. The noise is unbearable and it lasted all night until 8:30 am. And their pool towel policy is ludicrous.

Check in was at 3 and they said 3 to 6 , give us the room at 520 , customer service they are very rude (when you ask cuestión) is not like the picture.

The overall facilities are good. Our room was quite spacious, although very warm. The buffet restaurant offered a variety of food options.

The constant loud music was overwhelming and not enjoyable for us. It seemed like the hotel was geared towards families who don't mind the noise. Children were running around loudly, making it hard to relax. Plus, not a single staff members spoke English, which made things difficult. Getting a taxi was a hassle, the receptionist denied my request to call us a cab and handed me the phone to do it myself, which I found quite rude. They only had one functioning restaurant with buffet, and trying to make lunch/dinner reservations at their sister hotel was a slow and complicated process so we didn't manage. The check-in window from 3 to 5 was too long, and there wasn't anywhere to wait comfortably for our room. The hotel felt crowded and chaotic, not the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for in a resort.

We stayed at Decameron Panaca from March 11-13. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well maintained. There are many activities for the kids e.g. pony rides, milking cows, feeding baby goats and baby pigs plus the walk to the Panaca park is short and the entrance fee is discounted if you are staying at the hotel. The highlight for me was the food. Absolutely delicious. We had steak twice snd it was cooked to perfection. The swimming pools are bi and well maintained. The rooms are big and while there is no AC, we didn't need it since the ceiling fan was enough. We travelled with my mom who has mobility issues. The hotel provided a wheelchair and I was pleasantly surprised to realize that all areas of the hotel are wheelchair accessible. A big plus! We truly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back!

We are an American couple visiting my wife’s family. We decided to take a nice trip for some fun and relaxation and booked a 3 night stay at the Decameron Panaca. We made the 5 hour trip there and were very excited to check in. Unfortunately we had left our passports at our home in Cali. Although we had our ids (driver licenses and booking info), we were refused entry and denied our reservation. Sadly, we had to make the 5 hour trip back home that night. To make things worse, they refuse to credit us back our money already paid up front. My advice is to stay away from Decameron Panaca (Very unprofessional).

The hotel closes its recreational activities at 7:pm, such as the pool, board games, gym, jacuzzi, and cannot be enjoyed after 7:pm. Generally you take the tickets to the Panaca park and your visit is until 4:30pm which is the last show, therefore if you want to return to the hotel to enjoy its activities it would be in the afternoon which are no longer available. The restaurant during my stay only offered one protein option which ran out very quickly. For what you pay and cost the hotel, and my experience during my stay I do not recommend it nor will I return to that hotel.
