Above Blue Suites

The location with the view was excellent. Complementary breakfast served in the room were average quality and cold. There are missed items in the breakfast what you checked the day before. The service or calling to the reception was only limited to 9AM to 9PM. There is no restaurant or food option in the hotel. Also all the restaurant were closed during first/second week of April and we had to walk 10-15 mins to get any food. All the nearby restaurants were closed as it was not the season said by the people. After staying one week, we requested for a late check out as our flight was late afternoon and we were asked for additional money and got denied when we wanted to provide additional money. I would not recommend this hotel for a family with kids.

I wish the jacuzzi had a water temperature adjustment; it was a fixed temperature that was cold. I can't make an adjustment we were in the cold season the water was cold can't use it just deco! when I asked they can't adjust at all.

Friendy staff. 20 min walk to Fira Center. Great view during the day and evening

Nice view and very friendly staff. They had knowledge of everything and hiking trail just going outside from hotel.

Paid to reserved transportation to airport and did not show up at reserved time until I ask staff to call and they came much late with no notice and explanation

This hotel is very nice with an amazing view.can be update some in certain areas. Breakfast was nice. You fill out a sheet picking items and a time for the first day and seems to be stuck with it for following days. The staff is very nice and helful. There's no elevator. If you cant do about 30 stair up and 30 down depending on your room location this may not be for you.

Great location and incredible views but difficult to find even with GPS. Don't attempt this at night unless you are very savvy. Signage needs to be improved. Parking very difficult. Staff told me it was OK to park along side of street where there were no (no parking) signs or a lot down the street. The next AM I had a parking ticket when we parked on the street. The staff seemed surprised ?? Fine of 20 Euros has to be paid within a couple days at the Fira town hall or post office. Fine increases after a few days. The rental car company said they would pay it for you if you paid an employee another 9 Euros to run into town. Facility is showing its age, but you are paying for the view and service. Staff was very attentive in all aspects except the parking issue. I strongly stated they needed to inform their guests on arrival about the parking issues. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance (especially "Avocados" and "Dear Elie"). breakfast delivered to room/ balcony and was very good.

The view from our room was stunning. The most beautiful sunset we've ever seen. The room, Golden Echo, is simply incredible. The room is huge with several areas including an indoor Jacuzzi with hydromassage. Breakfast was served every day on the balcony overlooking the sea and was next to another jacuzzi with hot water and hydromassage. The staff made a point of treating us like VIPs and gave us an incredible boat cruise trip. Our suitcases were carried up the stairs by a member of staff. In other words, just perfect. The location is perfect, especially for couples who want peace and quiet. And quick access to the other parts of Santorine, such as Oiá and Fira. The receptionist was very attentive on the first day and gave us a map with directions to various must-see places and restaurants. They also took care of transportation to and from the airport at a very fair price. Our stay at Above the blue was simply sensational.
