Atrium Ambiance Hotel

Room spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and choice of pillows! Fabulous breakfast. Location perfect. Only thing that let the room down was lack of usable storage space for clothes. Large wardrobe but only a few hangers and no drawers large enough to put clothes in.

Friendly helpful staff, great location.

Mattresses were more firm than we prefer, a little smell of smoke in the hallways.

Too many sleep disturbing control lights on the electronic equipment around the room. Red control light, green control light, light from the hallway around the entrance door that was not sealed at all and therefore all noise from guests passing by we had to share. In addition, very noisy street until very late at night/morning.

Lovely hotel , great rooms and the best comfy bed ever . Staff are lovely and friendly. The manager remembered us and gave us a lovely room . Very nice touch and it made our stay perfect . Many thanks .

The pool and the food were excellent. The hotel is very modern and clean.

Our bathroom was quite small and the shower needed some maintenance.

Comfortable hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful. Well located, just under an hour from Chania's airport by car, and I believe it's nearly the same distance to the other airport. Just a couple of blocks away from the beach, mostly clean. It's quiet, we had great nights of sleep.

As this is a quite expensive and a 4 stars hotel, I would expect a bit more attention to details. The rooms were quite smelly at times but there was no diffuser nor home spray in the rooms, nothing to minimise that terrible smell. There is a touchscreen in each room to control aircon a few more features but the light of it is quite intense throughout the night, and no cover to block it. Our bathroom had a part glass door and the sunlight would come in as soon as the sun rose (not dark enough for a great night of sleep for my taste). The pool has sunlight only for a few hours of the day, from around 11am until 3pm so not a very convenient position. The wellness spa is not at the hotel, but oddly inside another hotel/property. We were lead to the area but no one else was there to give any info. We booked half board at the hotel but there no drinks included for dinner and we were obliged to purchase drinks from the hotel. The juices offered for breakfast had no taste and pressed juice was charged separately. The hotel is great, the staff was amazing, helped us throughout our stay, but the managers were not friendly at all and seemed to be just making the staff anxious and not giving any help to them (in my opinion, a great manager is the one that gives the example, greet the customers and assist their staff). There was no parking, which means you have to fight through the busy surrounding roads to find a parking spot. There is no beach area provided to the guests, so we had to rent sunbeds and umbrellas for each day. Not great for the price.
