The Blue Boar - Historic Country Inn near Stratford-upon-Avon

Really lovely place spotlessly clean and staff couldnt of been anymore welcoming. I'm writing this review months after myself and partner spent the night because I thought I'd already done this...but needless to say I would absolutely go again .! 👍

Nothing it was perfect!

Very clean. Lovely shower. Good evening meal. Eggs and toast for breakfast good. Lovely old pub.

Bed too low. Noisy road junction after 6am. No fresh milk at breakfast so no tea,coffee and cereal. Breakfast times on week-days till 8.30. Too early if you are on holiday time.

Great location, nice big room and bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Pub restaurant was excellent and had a lovely space for outdoor dining.

Room was incredibly hot, we thought we had an air con unit but turned out to be an air purifier. A choice of toast at breakfast would be good. Only white sliced offered.

We were going to the races and so we were able to get a cab fairly easily into town. It is a lovely building and the atmosphere on Saturday evening was vibrant.

The booking of our table on the Saturday evening seemed a little haphazard, as it appeared we were waiting for a spare table rather than having a reservation.

Good breakfast. Good choice of evening meal

More electrical sockets required in bedroom at more accessible areas for use of hair dryer etc

The location and that we could charge our ecar

the heating & water systems were faulty, so our room was too hot to sleep in and the water was freezing cold, too cold to shower in, so no sleep and smelly bodies! Also, on arrival at 1045 (after a very long day) the barman was not going to serve us drinks until persuaded by a local that he should do so.
