"Stay away from SureStay"

I cannot believe this is a Best Western property. BEWARE of SureStay. Safety hazards galor- the metal railings on the second floor are rusting away and many sections are loose. There is a fence labeled as being "7000 volts" separating the grounds from some truck facility next door. My wife pinched her fingers between the very loose stair railing and the second floor deck. The room is in terrible shape- the light fixtures are corroded, there is no locking chain on the door. The bathroom has a very stale dirty odor. The "dresser" is missing wood, trim pieces are missing on the wall. If I had any clue that this was NOT a Best Western hotel, I would have never booked it.

Breakfast was decent

Room was stinking like cigarette smell when get there. They didn't have any more rooms (they claimed). We didn't go to another hotel because we only stayed one night and didn't want to pay fees for canceling. They charged me smoking fees and didn't accept to take them off. building is old and not well maintained, furniture falling apart, imagine how well they clean, that the cleaning crew didn't notice the smell... they are plenty of hotels in Jacksonville. Save yourself a headache and book somewhere else. Worse customer service I have experienced in my life.
