Hotel Amapola Resort

Unique setting, a little far from.the beach but the layout of the hotel was nice

Overall hotel was decent. Front desk service was excellent. Super friendly and helpful. Rooms were dated, towels were a bit ragged but clean. Music was way too loud on weekend at the pool, was bumping regaeton beats at 10 am, really annoying.

The common areas of the hotel are good, staff is kind and polite, breakfast is ok. The room size is a little small but you can be comfortable. The BIG problem are the beds. Looks like they haven't changed the mattress in many years; one of the beds made a lot of noise each time you moved and the other would completely sink on one side. Parking can also become a problem if the hotel is half full. I wouldn't consider going back until the beds are changed as you cant put a price on a good nights sleep.

Great pool, room clean and staff mostly helpful and accommodating. Not much within walking distance.

Great staff. My first room had a problem with the A/C ..they switched me right away to the room nextdoor. ..so I didnt have to drag all my stuff to a different building.I had awesome weather...really enjoyed the pool and bar..I think the bartenders name is Mariella?? and her husband runs the Italian restuarant in front of the hotel...The pizza and the rest of the food there is top notch..they have lobster and tilapia tanks so....you get as fresh as fresh can get ...I ate there every night...great waiters too...Gracias Luis.!!.....Also get a massage the price was cheap and well worth it.!

Hotel was a bit farther from the beach than we had anticipated, but as the town was rather crowded and noisy at night that might not have been such a bad thing. The Internet was very slow, which seemed to be a function of how many people were using it at any given time. Early morning or late night it was fine, but during the day it was not. Also, the water pressure (especially the hot water) was extremely low, and several mornings it was difficult to take a shower due to little or no hot water.
