Hotel Amapola Resort

Great location, friendly reception. Recommended.

The line was long. They hardly speak English. My shower head was broken and I asked them fix it but they didn't. They gave me just two towels at the checkbout and one of them was for pool. The room location was so bad. The location of the hotel is not what they described in websites. The safe in room didn't have a key so I had to get in line again to get it.

We absolutely loved the hotel and its staff; everyone was kind and attentive to our needs! Our room had a king-size bed, 2 ample closets with tons of shelving for additional luggage, clothing, 2nd floor balcony overlooking the lovely property, refrigerator, tv, large splitter air conditioner, and good-sized bathroom. The pool was expansive, shallow areas, a giant volcano like slide area for kids, a smaller, separate pool area above the other pool for sitting and relaxing or for younger children, sunken bar playing a wide variety of both Spanish and English music, delicious frozen drinks like pina coladas and traditional bar, and a snack bar with a nice variety of pool-side foods. The property had lots of shady areas for sitting, eating outside, fish pool, game room for adults and kids (ping pong, air hockey, pool), a gaming casino ( we didn't visit but it appeared to be mostly video gaming), and a wonderful restaurant, the Roma Nueva, serving breakfast (our package was complementary), lunch, and dinner. The wait staff and manager was friendly, attentive, and helpful! We are American citizens (I am in my early 50s and my husband is in his early 60s) and we enjoyed the fact that we vacationed in a hotel that was not targeting American tourists per se. With our limited-moderate Spanish, and employees with a range of English from fluent to limited, we got by wonderfully and enjoyed the family oriented mixture of guests! We loved our stay and will definitely return next yr!

I didn't like the parking zone because it was very small.

It was a great choice, everything was great except the wifi did not work in our room, we had to go outside to a pavillion to do our daily laptop things, that also kept us from streaming movies in english in our room., everything else was great, it came with a hot breakfast daily & coffee, they brick oven pizza's that are great....

one of the best if not the best service I ever had in a hotel,and i visit a lot of hotels in CR . Great staff,great food,room was amazing -over all we felt appreciated and safe.I will be visiting that place soon and will stay much much longer.

The hotel is a loss gem that everyone should fine. Food was great. Pool is large. Lewis ran the pool resturant and pool bar with great service and attitude. Main resturant was amazing. Management goes out of there way to please you.

The hotel is nice and clean . The rooms are big and comfortable . It is great hotel for family with kids . A little bit far from the centre but the restaurant in the hotel is good . We only stay one night there so my review is based on one night only.

We’ve been staying hear regularly for about 1 year when we visit Jaco, friendly staff, nice huge pool and very family oriented facility.
