Amaryllis Hotel Apartments

I contacted Yiannis to explain that my husband and I would be returning to Tolo after 24 years, to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary in Tolo, where we lived for a year. My biggest request was a seaview room. Yiannis booked us into the top floor superior seaview appt. We arrived after midnight after our flight was delayed. Yiannis (having called him to let him know) was so friendly and welcoming and greeted us and showed us to our room. Even at night, the view from the balcony over all of Tolo and across to the island was beautiful. So peaceful. I spent all 5 days there just staring at that view from the balcony on our loungers, at our table having a glass of wine, even from the shower window. The appartment suited our needs perfectly. Comfy bed, kitchenette with the basics. Washing up bits, mini shampoo all appreciated. Breajfast was perfect for us. salad, bread, eggs, bacon & sausage, fruit, cereal. A bit of everything. We even dared to have a swim as the days were lovely and hot, around 27F. Cold, but ive been in colder. There was free parking. We already knew we would be at the top of the hill on the ring road. The walk down the adjacent street is VERY steep ! We tended to drive zig zag via other roads to break the incline at the top. Kept us very fit. Not sure i'd like it in August. But there would be buses outside I guess and taxis if needbe. Yiannis and all his staff made our trip very special and went out of our way to make our stay enjoyable. There was only one slight downside that a large group of very noisy kids arrived for 2 nights, but this was only an issue on their arrival as they were so over excited we felt uncomfortable in the middle of it by the pool, we went away from the hotel to escape the screaming and yelling across the balconies. But by the time we came back, we never heard a peep from them for 2 days. They were all on a school trip and in bed early and out after breakfast and very polite. We noticed that pretty much all the hotels had groups of student staying to see the sights. Thank you Yiannis and your lovely staff for making our trip and memories of Tolon strong for atleast another 24 years.. next time we will bring the family too.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. We had a beautiful, spacious sea view room. It was kept spotlessly clean every day. Each room facing the sea will have a lovely view. The furniture was all good quality with a good comfortable bed. The rooms have secure patio type doors with a shutter and insect screen. There were a/c units in the living area and bedroom which were very effective. The breakfast was lovely with fresh bread, croissants, salads, meats and cheeses every day. The speciality was amazing home made peach & apricot jam. The pool area was usually very quiet with good sun beds and umbrellas. The location is excellent with a path leading you from the car park into the town taking just 6/7 minutes and the. Local bus stop just a few steps away. There are some steep hills but would only be a problem if you had mobility issues. We had no issues with the wifi at all. Finally the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel surprised us by impeccable service and personal attitude. Here you stay as if it was your own summer residence :) The staff is always there for you to help. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. We had a stunning view from our room (which was clean and fresh), and lovely tasty Greek fruits as a compliment. The only thing that wasn't perfect is wi-fi, but this problem occurs everywhere in Greece. The nice beach with crystal-clear water (absolutely the best sea in Greece, I promise!) is about 10 min away. You can choose a steeper and shorter way if you want some cardio workout after long and lazy sunbed-time. Otherwise, take a 2-3 min longer road which is much easier and won't let you loose much calories :)

We had a great time at this nice modern, family run hotel. Excellent pre-visit communication with the hotel, to make sure we got a room with a great view. The apartment was spacious, extremely clean, with a large balcony with fabulous sea views. Bed linen clean, changed regularly througout our stay. The room was cleaned every day. Breakfasts were great, with plenty of choice and always something different. We stayed in May,when it was quiet, so always found a sunlounger by the pool - it is quite small so think it would be a bit crowded in the summer. We spent time visiting the many amazing sites around Tolo (Mycenae, Napflio, Epidavrous), but enjoyed just relaxing on our balcony in the evenings. Be aware, the walk into Tolo is very steep, although short. One thing to note, is that you cannot really cook or prepare food in the apartment. Even though there is a kitchenette it is not well equipped. Great to have a kettle for tea/coffee and fridge for wine though. Overall, we felt it was very good value for money, the staff were lovely and friendly,and the apartment very clean and functional.

The apartment we had was with seaview, and what a view it is! The balcony is generous in size. The room, and the hotel with all public areas, is very clean. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they look after their little hotel and their guests very well, you feel so welcome. I would definitely stay here again, and could easily recommend it to anyone! Thank you for the Little jar of handmade jam given to us by check out.

We stayed at Amaryllis Apartments Hotel three nights in late June (26.6.17 to 29.6.17). We booked a 2-bedrooms apartment for four people that included two bedrooms with double beds, kitchen and sitting area and a balcony with partial sea view. We also booked a Superior Triple Apartment for three adults with large balcony with amazing sea view. The hotel has a modern and cozy design. The apartments are spacious and nice. The only minor complaint we have is on the bathroom in the 2-bedrooms apartment, which was very small in proportion to the apartment's size. A narrow shower with a shaky door. The Superior Triple Apartment had a reasonably bathroom. Location: Tolo is a small sweet town with a sandy beach. Its location is perfect to explore Argolis area in the Peloponnese (Epidávros, Nafplio, Mycenae, Corinth Canal and more). The hotel is located on a hill overlooking Tolo Bay and the beach. It took us about 8-10 minutes to walk to the sea front line. The climb back to the hotel was tiring but reasonable. If you have a difficulty in walking I recommend using the car. Service and facilities: The hotel has a clean and comfortable private parking. Good breakfast served in the lobby and the terrace. An excellent pool; not large but very clean and pleasant. We enjoy it very much! The staff is very friendly and willing to help in any matter. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Aussicht war super. Pool war sauber. Frühstück war gut. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze. Das Personal war sehr nett:-) Kommen gerne wieder!
