Porto Naxos Hotel

A very attractive hotel with lovely rooms, great comfy beds and a superb pool area. It is a little bit out of town but it’s a flat 20 ish mins walk to the centre with all the restaurants bars and bustle. Sadly there is not a restaurant available as advertised although the hotel staff told us the restaurant is where breakfast is served so IS a restaurant. The restaurant is there but is closed up. A pool bar menu is available part of the day, crepes, club sandwiches and salads. Breakfast is fine but not 4*. Previous visitors have mentioned the road noise but we didn’t find that an issue. When we arrived we were not given a twin room for our young adult kids as we had requested and were told with a shrug that requests can’t be honoured as the hotel was busy although we had booked months in advance. No way our 22 year old son was gong to sleep with his 19 year old sister, originally we were told that was just it but after a call to the hotel manager we were given an extra bed for the first night and a change of room for the rest of the stay.

Athena and her team were great. They arranged a pickup from the airport although we just advised them that morning. We had a room with a view of the island. The hotel is 200m from the beach - initially disappointed we were glad later because it is also out of the wind !!! Room was spacious - small balcony (Many rooms had large balconies great for summer) Good pool. It is early in the season and so breakfast staff were not yet into the swing of things but they were eager to please. Each breakfast included different homemade Greek pastries and cakes, but don't ask them for poached eggs. I was recovering from bad food in Athens and the 24 hr reception/room service was excellent. Professional and accommodating service, local knowledge, friendly - thoroughly happy to recommend.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Staff are extremely helpful, beautiful setting and facilities, free use of bicycles was an added bonus.

Location was a little out of the way but walkable to downtown. Beds were a bit firmer than we're accustomed to

Porto Naxos is a wonderful choice. It's on the edge of town, but less than a 10 minute walk to both the beach and the shops/restaurants, which means it's quiet and peaceful yet accessable. The pool area is perfect for complete relaxation and cooling off on a hot afternoon. Breakfast is full of options and the food is excellent. The staff couldn't be nicer and will help in any way possible. Rooms are nice with balconies and patios so that you can sit outside and watch Naxos life around you. Highly recommend.

Porto Naxos was a great hotel experience. Centrally located, within walking distance to shops and restaurants but far enough way to provide a peaceful relaxing resort like setting. The pool, cabanas, and pool bar provided opportunity for down time. Room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was outstanding, I suffered heat dehydration while in Naxos and the hotel staff helped my husband with a pharmacy and medical recommendations as well as helping him with local eateries so he could take in the local culture while I was recuperating. Can't wait to return to Porto Naxos agin!

Beautiful hotel grounds, great pool area, breakfast and hotel staff. Walk into the city not long 10mins. Nice to be out of the city as well. Very quiet. Room was a bit older but towels and bedding was very comfortable and modern. Shower also had incredible pressure given an island. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel and location.

Lovely hotel, amazing staff! It is only 10 minutes away from the centre of the town, which makes it ideal for shopping, eating and exploring the island's nightlife!
