Nothing memorable with my stay

The dining area was closed when I was there and also there was no hot water in the shower. I tried a 4:30pm and 5am and no hot water!!!!!!

I fell in the shower. The shampoo and shower wash was in the back of the shower in the sloped part of the shower making me fall against the granite seat. I have a big bruise on my back from the fall.

SHOUT OUT TO THE FRONT DESK CREW!! Andrew/Kenya (I apologize I didn't get other names)!! They went above and beyond to help me get items back that I had left behind. Kind, thoughtful, helpful!! THANK YOU!!!! When checking out we told them of an issue with the air conditioner in our room they were genuinely apologetic and immediately put it on the priority list to take care of it. The rest of the world could take lessons from these folks on customer service!

Disappointing Stay with Poor Customer Service Checked into the Courtyard Marriott in Statesville, NC, after a long 12-hour workday, hoping for a relaxing evening. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but. Upon entering the room, I was greeted with a faint smell of dog urine. While I understand it’s a pet-friendly hotel, this was unpleasant. Still, I didn’t complain. However, the bigger issue arose when I tried to watch TV. The remote didn’t work—no ability to change channels or adjust the volume. I tried every button, but nothing worked. When I called the front desk for assistance, no one answered. At 9:30 PM, I walked downstairs with the remote, assuming this would be a simple fix. To my surprise, the front desk staff suggested I “just unplug the TV” and mentioned this wasn’t the first time someone had complained about the remotes. When I explained I wanted to watch TV and asked to be moved to another room, I was told the hotel was sold out. I am staying here for 30 days, and this is how issues are handled? No resolution, no real effort to address the problem, and a dismissive attitude. After having a poor experience at another Marriott just yesterday, this feels like a pattern of subpar service. Marriott is known for its standards, but this was far from acceptable. Customer service should always aim to make the guest feel valued, especially for long-term stays. This experience has left a sour taste, and I’ll be reconsidering my loyalty to the brand. Would not recommend this property based on my experience. 👎

Nice hotel. Not the best location, but not bad either.

No hot water in the morning. No manager available - staff could do nothing. Half TV channels not working.

The bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice and roomy. The small sofa was very comfortable which made catching late TV enjoyable.

Try to keep the trash cans outside emptied and not allow them to overflow.
