"Great hotel in Sacred Valley"

10.0

This is a wonderful hotel and it's perfect except for the fact that it's about a ten minute cab ride from the town area where most restaurants are. I still recommend staying here and just cabbing to dinner!

"Great resort type hotel"

8.0

Great resort for relaxation but not that great as a base to explore the Sacred Valley given that there´s not much around it and a taxi to Urubamba costs 30 soles. Stayed in the hacienda which was amazing. Good spa, decent restaurants (not cheap though) but be prepared to just stay inside the resort.

"Amazingly beautiful but freezing"

8.0

Aranwa is a great stay if you need an escape from tourist hubs or busy environments. It is located a little far from Urubamba, which can also be a minus if you want to see a lot of the Sacred Valley over limited time. The rooms are spacious and beautiful (but mine was also cold despite the heating turned to max), the decorations and facilities exquisite, and being surrounded by majestic paintings, living on a hacienda with an old church will feel like stepping back in time. It will make you forget you are a visitor in Peru. It's ideal if you are seeking a longer break, not so much for a quick stay due to long distances. Staff are very helpful.

"Pretty but not worth more than a day."

4.0

Hotel is 40 minutes away from nearest town and lacks basic services such as shuttle to monuments or artisan markets. The menu in the hotel's only restaurant is limited, has zero vegan meals and one salad and one pasta dish for vegetarians. Yoga class was $60 per person. Bar was poorly stocked and a Pina Colada took 20 minutes to make. Staff was pleasant but seemed inexperienced. If you want to see the highlights of Peru and explore the Sacred Valley, do not stay at this hotel. If you want isolation, it is fine.

"Very nice hotel but a little far from town"

8.0

We stayed here for our first night in the Sacred Valley. We wanted a place where we could acclimate to the high altitude and take it easy. This fit the bill perfectly. The staff is the most service oriented that I've ever experienced. The hotel property itself is beautiful. The first room that they checked us into actually ended up having a broken pipe and flooding. Thankfully none of our stuff got wet. Then they promptly took us around the hotel to find an upgraded room that was to our liking. The upgraded room was very nice and comfortable. The grounds are landscaped beautifully. There seem to be a lot of activities around the hotel but we didn't do much. The only thing that would've improved the experience would have been if the hotel was closer to town. It's about a 10 minute cab ride and I would've preferred something walking distance.

"In the middle of nowhere"

4.0

We had great difficulty finding the location based on information provided. We were suffering from altitude sickness, arrived late in the day, asked for a late check out and were treated as if we were asking too much... Found staff unfriendly. ... Based on our experience, would not recommend this for a one night stay...beautiful place but we froze in our room and it was very expensive for a one night stay
