Hampton Inn La Junta

Breakfast was simple. Breakfast wasn't a priority for us so it was ok. Coffee station was great. Tables could have been cleaned a little better after each guest. Pet peeve is dirty public tables.

If small issues came up,they were dealt with immediately. Front desk clerks were friendly and very helpful. Will stay there again.

The confirmation said I had to do self checkin but then it told me to go inside. There’s not point in self check in if you still have to go into the hotel and check in again. Just don’t have self check or make it sound like I have to use self check in. Also whoever was at the front desk made me wait like 5 minutes while she finished whatever she was doing on the computer before she would help me. There was no one else around nor had there been the whole time I was attempting self check in from outside. So not sure what took so long. It’s also very much middle of now where town with just a row of a few hotels and fast food places. Kind of ghost town seeming at least in the dark.

Overall it was a great stay. Nice comfortable place to relax and sleep after exploring the area and looking for Tarantulas. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Only complaint was how thin the walls and floors are. Very noisy kids right above me but that’s not hotels fault…I should have requested a room on an upper floor. Will definitely recommend and stay again.
