Hotel Royal Castle

We transferred rooms during the stay. The first room was not good. Bathroom of first room had large hole in ceiling and dripped water. No shower so had to take sponge bath. Room smelled moldy. Second room much nicer and bathroom huge improvement. Had they given us the 2nd room to start, the rating would have been better. Had they not transferred us to the better room, rating would have been "not satisfied at all".

confirmed with person that we will check in at 5 am and check out at 7 pm but even after that they have not allowed us for check in as they have policy of check time of 12 noon... further dont book room via internet..... its not affective... new rules will be shown to u at reception desk... worst hotel i had ever visited

Stayed one night.Nothing special but reasonable price and cleanness for a night stay. Staff not super freindly and fake smiling but were very helpful when u ask and are honest . They have good drivers for ajanta and ellora but need to negotiate the price and dont expect too much english from the drivers :) but are safe. If u looking for short stay and are not too fussy about sevices is a good choice. There is free internet at the lobby. Btw dont forget to try the Tandoor restraunt across the street . Paneer tikka masala my favorite after one day of not eating. Suggest u take a snack if u travel to see the caves cuz u cant find smth good there.

Excellent value for money. Cordial and friendly staff. Location is great. It's really impressive. I will be coming back. This actually my second stay in 2 months

The hotel is not well located. The staff was not friendly and our sheets were dirty and so was the bathroom. We saw a big rat in the corridor and when I told the staff they just shrug. Don't stay there!

Good budget priced Hotel approx 15 minutes by taxi from downtown Fort area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Stayed here twice and would do so again. Busy and noisy street but room was fairly quiet.

Truly awful! We checked out soon after checking in. We paid for a plan that includes "Free internet" only to be told by the hotel that the free internet is only for 1 hour. Three of the 4 sides of the hotel face walls of adjacent buildings so you will feel instant claustrophobia. The lobby is up 2 flights of stairs, so be prepared to haul up all your luggage by yourself prior to checking in. Most taxis are not even aware of this hotel because it's hidden within another building. The Super-Deluxe room we were offered (their top of the line room) had huge cracks in the bathtub and the knob of the slide lock fell off shortly after we closed it. We had to look for available resources within the room to unwedge the lock and free ourselves from the room. The front desk takes your passports away for half an hour to "upload" details, but the next hotel we checked into simply made a copy and handed them back to us immediately. Though this is not necessarily the fault of the hotel, I should mention that it is more difficult to get taxis in front of this hotel because most taxis don't see this as a spot to pick up fares. We ended up staying at a hotel a couple of minutes away in the same category which offered amenities light-years ahead of this hotel, for not much more in price.

This is a very good no frills, budget hotel for short duration stays (I stayed for 1 night). Clean room and bathroom, clean and comfortable bed and sheets, friendly and helpful staff, good location and very reasonable tariff. Good value for business travelers and students. Hot water available 6am to 10am and for sometime in the evening. Normal running water all day and night. Air-conditioner works. TV works on and off. Don't expect luxury services or frills. Helpful staff around all the time.
