She didn't cook breakfast

Room was a bit small

I did not like anything about this place.

We received an email saying if we arrived after 4 pm we could get in with a code and the keys to our room would be on the mantle. When we arrived there was one car in the driveway, but there were no lights on and it was getting near dusk. We entered with the code, but there were no keys on the mantle and the stairway upstairs was blocked off with chairs. We called for someone to help us but no one answered. It was dark in the house and kind of creepy. We called booking.com and they tried to call the innkeeper too but could not get ahold of her, so we received our money back.

It was like going back in time. the setting was beautiful.

there is a question whether there is air conditioning. we just happen to be staying when the night was in the fifty’s and she said to open window. when we got there the room was a little humid. The thermostat is under her control. I’m thinking the rooms are not air conditioned enough to be comfortable in the summer months. This explains the bad reviews I have read about no air conditioning. we had both windows open and a fan. Also no full breakfast. Coffee. yogurt and croissants.

This is a comfortable and homey early nineteenth century inn that has been nicely renovated. The owner, June, is delightful and welcoming, serving fresh coffee and pastries each morning. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back again.

This was the perfect place to stay for a brief solo trip! The staff were so kind and had recommendations for restaurants. It was a very quiet and peaceful place to relax and not too far from Asheville or hiking spots.

It is a beautiful old home on a great piece of property..a couple things to note: if you get a room w/a bathtub-there's no shower. + our bed was like a hammock😞..June is very hospitable.Only Coffee in the morning-no breakfast.

The genuine courtesy and historical importance of staying at a place such as the Black Mountain Inn is something that every one should do. It is reinvigorating as well as humbling. To be part of such a historic an emotionally rejuvenating opportunity Is that American dream that is so far distorted nowadays? I not only like that the first night I ended up staying a second night. I got a lot of work done on a book that I'm writing and I wish. I could have stayed longer and because I was getting a lot done. That is the only downside as the my schedule. Forced me to have to leave but I will be back for sure soon.
