Black Mountain Inn

The time period of the house uniqueness and the grounds were beautiful. It was what I was expecting for an inn that was 200 years old. The Black Mountain town was great, shopping & food. I'd go again to go to Goldfinch & Bush Farmhouse restaurant. We went to a concert at a local venue. The Inn was perfectly in the middle from the venue & town.

the address booking.com sent to me google sent me in the opposite direction. If I didn't know the area I would have been lost.

What did your think of breakfast? There was no breakfast, but I knew that from website, and that was ok with me. I suspect many others would be disappointed.

It was not a Truthful representation of room. Advertised on their website and travel websites to have air cleaning in Michael room. Not true. There is only a fan. Temps in the afternoon was upper 80’s to 90. No shampoo or conditioner.

The coffee was good.

The breakfast really was not a breakfast. All that saw was a little yogurt container. Maybe there was a bananna...I expected at least bakery and fruit and juice. The lighting outside was non-existent and steps were treacherous. I know the property is old/historic but safety upgrades could be made. And the musty mildew smell is something others should know about before booking. I hate to be negative because the owner is a very nice woman - but others should know what they are getting into if they book.

no breakfast. Great location.

When we arrived, host was asleep. Did not answer door bell or phone. We were the only guest but she said she was not notified we were coming. Place has air cond, but was not on. Came on for a little while then off again. Had to sleep with windows open. Host was nice to us & maybe it was not her fault if she was not contacted by booking agent. No TV in rooms. It's a beautiful place if run correctly.

I like the bedroom decoration and the vintage look overall of the house. Very green outside, perfect for relaxing

The description needs to be updated. We were expecting to find a spa, and you have to book a long time in advance to have a massage. There is no sauna. The name is bed and breakfast, and we only had coffee and biscuits, a little deceiving expecting to find a full breakfast and only seeing coffee
