"A VERY Expensive, and DISAPPOINTING stay."

Stayed at Las Vegas Aria Hotel. A 5 star, expensive hotel. I paid extra for Early Arrival. Received a text stating that our room was ready. About an hour later, we arrived at our room to see maintenance steam cleaning our carpet (which left it wet for the rest of the day.) Entered the room to find a broken lampshade. Maintenance assured us that it would be taken care of. (It never was. After a third complaint, the housekeeper "repaired" it by balancing the ripped/broken shade on the lamp pole.) Then, looked up and noticed our curtain was broken - pulled away from the runner as though someone yanked on it. Tried to settle in and noticed, again, that our air vent was covered with dust/dirt and the air filter was disgustingly dirty. Contacted the hotel and it was replaced. When using the bathroom, the door to the toilet/water closet would not shut. Because the hotel is very large, it is somewhat easy to get confused while trying to return to your room, but quickly found a solution by heading toward the wall with the big hole in it when leaving the elevator. Be ready to hand over your wallet... for everything. A medium sized bottle of Smart Water in the room is $16.00! I got a large one from CVS for $3.49.00. Breakfast (two breakfast sandwiches and two coffees) was $64.00. Breakfast the next day at a different restaurant was $85.00. Plenty of hotels in Vegas. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
