Holiday Inn Express Houston-Alvin by IHG

I wanted to share our experience since we are back home from our vacation. We had to change rooms due to the shower not working yet leaking water. Which means if the shower did not work, how was it cleaned? Second was the smell. The halls and rooms smelled like mold. Really bad. Lastly, for the price of the room. It was not up to standards by any means, besides the smell. Everything just seemed really dirty. 10/10 would not recommend.

Convenient location, close enough to where we needed to go. Very clean. Lots of parking. Breakfast was decent. Housekeeping knocked on door every morning at random times asking for our towels, which was a little odd. But overall good place to stay.

Our stay was great! Jori at the front desk was wonderful to deal with and made our stay feel very welcome and pleasant. We will be back when in the area again!

Had a comfortable stay. Breakfast was perfect. Disappointed I couldn’t enjoy some music while being in the pool. They have speakers out there but they weren’t working.

The room had a mildew smell and the carpet was very dirty. A bed was also very squeaky and would not let the whole party sleep at night. Shower tub was outdated and stained.

Very clean rooms, super kind staff! Would for sure come back They were more than accommodating to help us set up more room and bedding for our youngest child. The bathrooms were very clean too

Upon arriving to the room we noticed a few damaged furniture pieces in the room. The pool had quite a few tree leaves and flowers all weekend. The hotel was very quite. Their breakfast was really good. The room didn’t stay as cool as we’d like it due to the bed being right next to the ac blocking the air circulation. And the room had a stale perfume smell.
