Return after 15 years to Pimalai. Resort is still as wonderful as remembered. Unbeatable set-up and scenery (all the pictures do not lie) and the friendliness of the staff is second to none. A special „thank you“ to Hus Mon who took great care of us in the beach restaurant Rak Talay. We will come back!

Pimalai Resort is a true paradise, made even more special by its incredible staff. A huge thank you to Nancy at Seven Seas/Rak Talay Restaurants for her exceptional service. She was warm, attentive, and always going above and beyond. The entire Seven Seas team was fantastic, making every meal a delight. The resort itself is breathtaking, with stunning beaches and luxurious surroundings. We had an unforgettable stay and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Pimalai for an extraordinary, relaxing getaway!

This resort is spectacular. The gardens are breathtaking, the pools beautiful, ocean views room - wow! The staff are lovely and the breakfast food options something for everyone. If you are looking for time out and relaxation, this is your place as there is nothing much else to do around there! I would however like to point out that Pimalai need to absolutely lift their game on transfers. For a 5 star resort it is not acceptable to expect your guests to stand on the hand rail at the front of the boat to transfer to Koh Lanta & return. It is so dangerous and risky, you need to offer better here. I would say if you are older, the transfers from Speed boat to the Island and return may be something you need to reconsider, as they really require some dangerous steps without any easy transfer, and even worse when it’s raining.

This was our second stay in Pimalai in a row and again they delivered more than 100%. Must stay when on the island. One of the best resorts I have ever stayed in. Great stuff create great atmosphere. Everything was perfect and nothing to complain about.

Pimalai is breathtaking but it’s the people who make it unforgettable. Special thanks to Noi, whose kindness and genuine smile made our stay even warmer. The Seven Seas staff were equally wonderful, always attentive and friendly. We had breakfast there daily and occasional dinners, always a great experience. Meals and spa treatments are on the expensive side, and the restaurant could offer more Thai options. That said, the staff’s warmth and service truly elevate every moment and make it feel worth it. We leave with beautiful memories and a strong wish to return.

A truly fantastic week spent at our favourite hotel. We stayed in 2019 and vowed to make a return visit and it certainly did not disappoint on our return. What makes the Pimalai so special you may ask ? In my view the biggest asset of this hotel are the staff, from the gardener to the manager. Couple that with a gorgeous setting, beautiful rooms kept spotless and top quality service, food and drink. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the staff constantly and genuinely wanted to please you. I generally don't like singling out particular staff members, as at the Pimalai, it is the whole team who shine, however, I must make a special mention of Hernan the F & B manager who appeared to work 24 hours a day and always took time to come and speak with us to ensure everything was fine, the man is an absolute gentleman and a true professional. To all the staff, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our stay so special. Look forward to seeing you all in the future. Pro's - Everything. Con's - Leaving.

On the last night of a 5-day visit to Koh Lanta, and my wife and I loved every second of our stay at the Pimalai. We'll miss our Hillside Ocean View Pool Villa. It's just about 2,200 sqft, and has a separate bedroom and living room (with fully equipped bathroom and kitchenette) on either side of the infinity pool. There's a lot of privacy, and comes with stunning sea views. The outdoor spaces are very thoughtful used, and the interiors are full of sustainable materials. It's earthy low-key luxury, and supremely comfortable. We'll also miss the pampering. You can request services, make reservations for restaurants or classes on the Pimalai app, which is extremely convenient. Service was exceptional. We did not encounter a team member who wasn't polite, efficient and thoughtful. From the drivers who transfer you from airport to hotel, or the extremely efficient front desk and buggy drivers who whisk you around the resort, or the housekeepers and the restaurant staff. We were extremely well looked after. We've visited heaps of luxury villas across Asia, and even amongst all the bigger names, we thought Pimalai was a stand-out. Looking forward to coming back already.

We stayed here for 8 nights and would highly recommend. The resort even has its own private pier and boat from the mainland to Koh Lanta. From the moment you step on that pier you are made to feel like royalty. Staff are all lovely and will always provide quick assistance if needed. We stayed in a Deluxe Villa not far from the beach (402). Fantastic large balcony and very large comfortable accommodation. Around the pool area there are staff who will bring cold soft drinks for free. Breakfasts are fantastic. Everything 10/10. The only downside is that once you have stayed here you may be disappointed wherever else you go to stay. I highly recommend the sunset cruise which is run by the hotel.

Pilamai.. where even to start… The attention of detail, service are outstanding. I don’t really know where to start, for the price you pay its just so worth it. It’s very clean, beautiful, cushions are amazing, bed is amazing. I could not say anything negative. I’d like to do a little special mention to Noi, the lady at the reception, the kindest soul and made our experience very special. We were travelling with our two year old and there is a little space for toddlers which is amazing too. Hes been given a beautiful teddy bear, slippers and robe for him. So so special. The app really takes the service next level. Everyone is just amazing, so welcoming and mad our journey so special. Has been the best time, words cannot express. Food was amazing and breakfast too. Food quality was very good. My family joined us too and transport from airport was complimentary and they helped her with check in at the airport for her return. Thank you pilamai team. We hopefully be back one day

We visited Pimalai in June 2024. The hotel & service was outstanding. We stayed in the hillside ocean view private pool villa and it phenomenal. It was very private with unbelievable views of the ocean, sunset and stars. The food & cocktails in the hotel were amazing. We especially loved the slow cooked beef masaman. The staff were very friendly & made our stay even more special. We still talk about it to this day.
